1026th Center of state sanitary-and-epidemiological surveillance of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation is a large diversified preventive institution of the medical service. At first founded as a sanitary-and-epidemiological laboratory of the Ural military district the center has a very long history. In peace and wartime, the staff of the center gave made significant contribution to sanitary-and-epidemiological well-being of troops early in Ural, and now in the Central military district.
