Menkov I.A., Trufanov G.E., Zheleznyak I.S., Rud S.D., Knyazev E.A.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of ct-bypass angiography in the evaluation of significant stenosis and occlusion of grafts, recipient and nongrafted vessels in patients after coronary bypass surgery in the late postoperative period. Ct-bypass angiography was performed on 64-slice ct scanner with a slice thickness of 0,5 mm and a gantry rotation time of 0,4 s. All results were compared with quantitative invasive coronary angiography. 43 patients with 113 grafts were included in the study. Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value, and diagnostic accuracy for the evaluation of significant stenosis were 94%, 95%, 88%, 98%, 95%, respectively. Diagnostic accuracy for the evaluation of significant stenosis in the recipient and nongrafted vessels were 91% and 90%, respectively. The diagnostic accuracy for the evaluation graft occlusion, recipient and nongrafted vessels was 100%, 100% and 98%, respectively.

Obstructive sclerooblite-ration as a treatment of varicocele

Osipov N.G., Koryukov D.V., Alekseychuk G.I., Skorik E.S.

Abstract

Authors developed and used the method of obstructive scleroobliteration with use of occlusive balloon catheter as a treatment for 32 patients. Advantages of this method: 1. Possibility of scleroobliteration in isolated area of the left internal testicular vein and its branches. 2. Improvement of sclerosant influence on venous wall by means of aspiration of blood and contrast agent of blocked vein. 3. Decrease of contrast agent by means of it aspiration after performed phlebography. 4. Prophylaxis of negative effect (allergy, thrombotic complications) of sclerosant by means of it partial aspiration and extravasal compression of proximal part of vein. 5. No late relapse. This method allow to perform an effective scleroobliteration with exclusion of testicular vein and venous collateral without special technical skills and cost increase. Aspiration of sclerosant in a lumen of vein allows to decrease the amount of surgical complications.

Abstract

The current article is dedicated to promising technologies of packed red blood cells production and storage. The following new technical approaches are presented: (1) erythrocytes storage in strict anaerobic argon-hydrogen environment, (2) lyophilization of erythrocyte suspension by its atomization in nitrogen gas, (3) lyophilization of erythrocytes by directional freezing under the influence of radio frequency radiation, (4) automated pharming of antigen free packed red blood cells from progenitor cell directly at the battlefield.
