Non-infectious morbidity in the Armed Forces (a review on results of the round table in the State Duma)

Abstract

The article presents the results of the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on prevention of non-infectious diseases among the military, the results reported on May 12, 2016 at the meeting of the Committee for the Protection of Health of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Attention paid to the fact that the Armed Forces are an integral part of society and the state, and therefore the negative trends in the health status of the population are also reflected in the troops. In the common-ness of non-communicable diseases in the Armed Forces have an influence, especially of military service. Consider an organization and legal framework to combat non-communicable diseases in the Armed Forces successes in this direction, problematic issues and their solutions.

Experience of the military sanatorium «Arkhangelsk» on medical rehabilitation of patients after surgery in the treatment of coronary heart disease

Abstract

Showing features of the organization of medical rehabilitation of patients with coronary artery disease after surgical treatment at a sanatorium stage. The technology of application of restorative treatment, physical and psychological recovery, natural and premature medicinal factors are given. Based on the dynamics of the functional status of patients given control of complex clinical and instrumental studies in comparison with analogous-tech at discharge, to translate them into functional class, characterized with greater functionality is installed, the high efficiency of rehabilitation.

Selection of inhalation anaesthetic when low-flow anaesthesia with automated control

Abstract

A comparative evaluation of low-flow (0,5 l/min) and inhalation anaesthesia with sevoflurane and desfluranom with automated control of the concentration of inhaled anaesthetic on the exhale (Et-control), with the use of advanced monitoring in 76 patients operated on for the pathology of the spine and spinal cord is given. It was found that when using continuous measuring the achievement of the target concentration of the anaesthetic sevoflurane is faster in the group. Total consumption of desflurane was two times higher. Hemodynamic, SPI index were stable at all stages of the operation in both groups.

Prolonged interferon papillomavirus infection treatment

Abstract

In patients with recurrent genital HPV caused by human papillomavirus types 6 and 11, the use of genferon suppository according to prolonged scheme (500 000 IU 2 times a day for 10 days and further 500 000 IU 2 times a week for 3 months) in comparison with a short scheme (500 000 IU, 2 times a day for 10 days) is more effective in preventing recurrence of infection due to the normalization, an immune and cytokine status, as well as the elimination of the infectious agent from the affected tissues. Prolongation of the drug use did not cause undesirable side effects. The effectiveness of prolonged treatment regimes is determined by the pharmacological properties genferon components that provide systemic and local effects.

Organisation of medical care to military personnel with viral hepatitis A during the local armed conflicts

Abstract

The article provides an analysis of medical care organisation system to patients with viral hepatitis A during conducting counterterror operations on the North Caucasus (1994-1996 and 1999-2002). The authors provided information on the main problems of medical support in modern local armed conflicts and shortcomings of organization of medical care to patients with viral hepatitis A in the following conditions: multistage, discrepancy between calculation of forces and facilities and character of military conditions, shortcoming of staff structure of medical facilities, inappropriate level of proficiency of physicians of infectious profile and absence of regulations, concerning the use for equipment of infectious hospitals. Possible ways for resolving these problems are showed.

Present condition and perspective of development of self-care decontamination products

Abstract

This work provides data describing the current state and perspectives of development of self-care decontamination products for neutralization and removal of poisonous and highly toxic biologic and radioactive agents from open human body surfaces and close-fitting cloth. The history of self-care decontamination products creation in Russia and foreign countries is represented. The detailed performance characteristics of the developed individual anti-gas kits IPP-3, IPP-51, IPP-8, IPP-10, IPP-11, which were accepted to the Army and the Navy supply in the 1920-1930s, during the Great Patriotic war, in post-war period and now, are given. The individual anti-gas kits RSDL, M291, M295 and MK1 for government-issue equipment of North Atlantic nations’ armies are described in detail. It was showed that the general limitation both of the native and foreign anti-gas kit models is the poor efficacy against exposure of vesicants from the group of blister warfare agents. The most perspective research guidelines in creation of new self-care decontamination products are validated.

Abstract

The authors have developed a mobile medical combat complex «Klever», intended to provide medical and specialized medical care in case of mass arrival of wounded and victims of trauma profile on medical evacuation stages (to military-medical institutions), including isolated directions. The complex consists of sets of medical equipment - polymer bandages, immobilizes, a battlefield rod set, a mobile X-ray machine. Sets are light weighted and, easy to use and transport; provide a rapid onset of the functional units.

Epulosis peculiarities of experimental musculocutaneous gunshot wound with the use of microfiber wound coverings, immobilized with nanoparticles of silver and copper

Abstract

In an experiment on rats it has been shown the effectiveness of the treatment of gunshot wound of the thigh soft tissue wounds with the use of dressing means in the radiation method of electrospun of polymers and cellulose diacetate in polyvinylpyrolidone immobilized with ions nanostructured copper and silver. The average time of disappearance of signs of inflammation around the wound in comparison with those in the comparison group were reduced by 6 days (58,4%), cleanse the wound surface decreased from necrotic masses and formation of granulation tissue reduced - 4 days (46,2%), complete healing of wounds - 7 days (22,4%). Macroscopic effects of acceleration of wound healing processes confirmed by histomorphologic survey. The results serve as a basis desirability of development for the treatment of combat trauma surgical dressings, similar to those used in the current study.

Efim Anatolyevich Dyskin - the hero of the Defence of Moscow (To the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow 1941-1942)

Abstract

Efim Dyskin - one of the first artilleryman, who awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for a feat accomplished in the Battle of Moscow. After the war he finished the Military Medical Academy and later became a prominent domestic scientist - anatomist and morphologist, head of the general anatomy department, teacher of high school, Major General of the Medical Service. He created a scientific morphological school that developed guidelines for the features of the morphology of the different species of a gunshot wound and the impact of extreme factors of the military working on the body brow-century. Under the leadership of E.A.Dyskin conducted research on the status of collateral circulation, functional anatomy of the digestive system, craniology, history of military medicine and the Military Medical Academy.

Role of military medicine in delivering of health care to ministry of internal affairs staff

Abstract

The article describes the creation of the Medical Service Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian system. Throughout its history, medical-mechanical maintenance of employees of law enforcement bodies, such as in pre-revolutionary period, and in the early years of the Soviet regime was closely linked with military medicine of the Russian Empire and the Red Army. Many police officers, and later the police received medical care in military hospitals. Start the NKVD-MVD departmental health laid in 1921 with the creation of «admissions» to provide medical care to police officers. As part of the system of state-sensible care, the medical service of the Russian Interior Ministry system and now introduces non-assessable contribution to its development.

Abstract

The article presents a brief report on the All-Army competition, which was held in 2016, for the title of the best medical officer of the Medical Service of tactical (ship) unit of the Armed Forces. At the last stage of the competition participated the best officers of the Medical Service of tactical (ship) units of military districts (West, Central, Southern, Eastern), fleets (the Northern, Baltic, Pacific), arms and services of the Armed Forces. The third phase of the program included a competition for core subjects of professional job training for officers of medical service (special, special tactical, physical and fire training).
