Resumo
December 14, 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of academician N.G.Basov. He was one of those people who have been able to invent and make a completely new device that you cannot imagine the modern civilization without. The article gives a brief historical overview of the role of N.G.Basov in the creation and development of lasers.
