BURNOUT SYNDROME IN PHYSICIANS (HOW LONG SHALL I LAST?)
Abstract
The paper analyzes the prevalence of burnout syndrome among physicians. As an integral component of professional activity, this syndrome affects all aspects of life in a doctor, his/her self-rating, health, and, apparently, life expectancy. The important risk factors are his/her medical specialty and country of residence.

ALCOHOLIC CARDIOMYOPATHY: EPIDEMIOLOGY, PATHOGENESIS, AND PRINCIPLES OF DIAGNOSIS
Abstract
Alcoholic cardiomyopathy (ACMP) as a separate nosological unit is quite widespread in the world, which determines the relevance of this paper. The latter considers the mechanisms of cardiac damage and morphological changes in ACMP, its clinical features, and the principles of laboratory and instrumental diagnosis. It presents the results of a clinical examination of patients with ACMP.

ADVERSE REACTIONS TO BENZODIAZEPINE TRANQUILIZERS, IN PARTICULAR IN THE TREATMENT OF ALCOHOL WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME
Abstract
The paper describes the mechanism of action, classification, effects, specific and non-specific adverse reactions to benzodiazepine tranquilizers (BT). It considers the adverse reactions developing in the treatment of patients with alcohol withdrawal syndrome. The adverse reactions to BT develop in a significant proportion of patients; they are mainly associated with the sedative effects of the drugs and dose-dependent. In this connection, it is relevant to investigate the risk factors and biomarkers, which can predict the development of adverse reactions.

INSULIN RESISTANCE AND DISEASES OF THE INTERNAL ORGANS
Abstract
The paper considers the mechanism of insulin resistance and its impact on the development of different diseases (type 2 diabetes mellitus and its complications, cardiovascular diseases, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, polycystic ovary syndrome, and gout), as well as current methods for correcting insulin resistance.

ACUTE CEREBROVASCULAR ACCIDENT: PATHOGENETIC, CLINICAL, AND REHABILITATION ASPECTS
Abstract
The paper considers the pathogenetic, clinical, and rehabilitation aspects of stroke. It emphasizes the dynamics of neuroplastic processes, their role in rehabilitation, and the value of impaired cerebral connections. The ypical errors that slow down the recovery of motor functions are discussed.

DYSRHYTHMIAS IN HYPOESTROGENEMIA WITH METABOLICALLY HEALTHY OBESITY
Abstract
Comparison of dysrhythmias in young women with hypertension and hypoestrogenemia in normal geometry of the left heart and hypertrophic types of remodeling has shown that both supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias are more frequently recorded in the formation of hypertrophic variants of left ventricular remodeling with the more severe forms of dysrhythmia being significantly more common in metabolically healthy abdominal obese women.

EFFECTS OF STATINS ON INTRACARDIAC HEMODYNAMIC PARAMETERS AND THE COURSE OF Q-WAVE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION
Abstract
The authors revealed the advantages of rosuvastatin 40 mg/day over atorvastatin 80 mg/day in the 6-month combination therapy in patients with Q-wave myocardial infarction: in more promptly achieving targeted low-density lipoprotein levels and in normalizing C-reactive protein concentrations. There were no statistically significant differences in the improvement of intracardiac hemodynamic parameters (ejection fraction and stroke volume) and in the achievement of primary endpoints.

SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ALLERGIC RHINITIS DURING PREGNANCY
Abstract
The idea on the patterns of development of rhinitis during pregnancy and on the lack of need for therapy is erroneous. Increased demands are placed on the safety of prescribed drugs in this period. No clearly defined indications for the use of drugs of different groups are in the literature available for physicians.

KESAREVO SECTION: ARGONOPLASMIC COAGULATION AND REPAIR PROCESSES OF MIOMETRY
Abstract
Uterine scar is one of the topical issues of the modern obstetrics. In the Russian Federation occurrence of Caesarean section is up to 22% of all delivery acts. At the same time the presence of uterine scar has reproductive toxicity, i.e. direct adverse impact on fertility in all phases. Argon plasma coagulation is one of the methods that improves uterine scar condition. A comprehensivemulticentrestudy of argon plasma coagulation impact on the reparative process of myometrium in cases of repeated caesarean sections has been conducted. Efficiency of this method to improve the uterine scar condition and the operative labor outcomeshas been proved.

METABOLIC THERAPY IN INTEGRATED TREATMENT AND PREVENTION OF GESTATION COMPLICATIONS
Abstract
Objectives. Estimate the likelihood of developing gestational complications in pregnant women with vomiting of pregnancy (NVP) and hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), as well as the efficiency of the metabolic therapy (cocarboxylase hydrochloride 0.025 g, riboflavin 0.002 g, а-lipoic acid 0.0012 g) in correcting these complications.

ENDOTHELIAL DYSFUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE: NEW DIAGNOSTIC MARKERS
Abstract
The authors have defined the clinical value of a set of indicators, such as VEGF-A and VEGF-A/VEGF-R1, in mitral valve prolapse; the reduction of these can judge the severity of endothelial dysfunction associated with an increase in mitral regurgitation and with the frequency of clinically significant arrhythmias.

ROLE OF THE FRANK-STARLING MECHANISM IN BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT USING THE KOROTKOV METHOD
Abstract
It has been found that a high first blood pressure (BP) measurement using the Korotkov method is determined by arterial smooth muscle function in accordance with the Frank-Starling mechanism. Therefore, unrepresentative first 2-3 blood pressure measurements are proposed to be excluded from a clinical analysis.
