Abstract

Celiac disease is a systemic autoimmune disease caused by gluten consumption, which is characterized not only by damage to the small intestine, but also by a wide range of extra-intestinal manifestations. The article discusses the main extra-intestinal manifestations and concomitant autoimmune diseases, such as neurological disorders, dermatological and endocrinological diseases, reproductive disorders (infertility, miscarriage) and liver diseases.
