Abstract

The paper identified the main factors that influenced the development of acute symptoms of schizophrenia and adherence to therapy in patients with newly diagnosed paranoid schizophrenia who took psychoactive drugs at the time of the first symptoms. High risk of recurrence was exposed in those patients with paranoid schizophrenia who use drugs. A comprehensive approach to therapy was offered in this group of patients.
