PATHOGENESIS OF FUNCTIONAL GASTROINTESTINAL DISORDERS: CURRENT STATE OF THE PROBLEM
Abstract
The overview of literature summarises the modern concept of pathogenesis of functional gastrointestinal disorders
(FGID). It expounds the role of the proved pathogenetic factors and presents the contribution of separate hormonal systems
including the diffuse neuroendocrine system (DNES). Our own data on the thyroid and psychological status and particular
features of extraorgan manifestations in FGID patients are presented. The authors offer a new concept of FGID development
mechanisms including central (involving brain structures, change of separate mediator and/or hormones production), local
(neuromuscular organ disregulation) and peripheral (sensitivity change of the target organ receptive apparatus) links.

APPLICATION OF DERMATOFASCIAL GRAFTS ON PERFORANT VESSELSIN TREATMENT OF MALIGNANT SKIN TUMOURS OF EXTREMITIES
Abstract
The method of surgical treatment of skin tumours and side-effects of radiation therapy of skin tumours of extremities
consists in plastic restoration of postoperative defects using a complex of adjacent tissues, taking into account
angioarchitectural peculiarities of the donor skin. Grafts vascularized with perforant vessels possess high vitality and reliability, identical in colour and skin texture to recipient zone. Immediate proximity to perceiving zone contributes to minimal
deformation of donor area.
Using the method of plasty with dermatofascial grafts on perforant vessels in treatment of malignant skin tumours
and late radiation complications in the working group of the patients did not aggravate remote results of treatment, considerably improving immediate results.
The method contributes to performing more radical surgery operations at the same time decreasing the risk of postoperative complications, and improving medical and social rehabilitation of patients.

IMMUNOMODULATORY PROPERTIES OF NEW ADENINE DERIVATIVES
Abstract
Five compounds (VMA-03-01, VMA-01-21, VMA-99-56, VMA-99-82, VMA-00-29) were evaluated for their in vitro and in vivo immune-modulating effects. VMA-03-01, VMA-01-21, VMA-99-56 have been shown to increase phagocytosis and microbicidal activity in human neutrophils, thus affecting innate immunity. All compounds affect early and late stages of T cell
activation, which is shown by measurement of CD69- and CD25- T cells. In the rat model, compounds VMA-03-01 and VMA-01-21 inhibit specific antibody production.

ANALYSIS OF COMORBIDITY IN PNEUMOCOCCAL INFECTIONS
Abstract
Various forms of pneumococcal infections are the most frequent disease in almost all medical specialties. And one of the most important aspects in forecasting the outcome of pneumococcal infection is the evaluation of comorbidity in infection
process caused by the S.pneumoniae. However, until recently, there has been no single method for evaluation of pneumococcal
infection morbidity in patients with different concomitant diseases. We have applied the method of Charleson ME (1987) which
allowed a description of the data on pneumococcal infections morbidity basing on the count of cumulative risk.

OXYGEN-REALTED BIOCIDITY OF NEUTROPHILS IN RATSWITH PARODONTAL INFLAMMATION IN HYPOTHYROIDISM
Abstract
To study the effect of experimental hypothyroidism on oxygen-related neutrophils biocidity in a rat model of acute
gingival trauma we investigated the spontaneous and stimulated nitroblue tetrazolium test. Hypothyroid state in rat was induced by administration of 25 mg/kg mercazolyl for 21 days. Inflammation in rats with acute gingival trauma and hypothyroidism leads to a reduction in spontaneous and stimulated nitroblue tetrazolium test, diminished levels of malondialdehyde and glutathione in gingival tissue, a decrease in serum malondialdehyde level and in hemolysate
glutathione level.

DEFINING RISK DEGREE OF OVARIAN CANCER RECURRENCESUSING MORPHOMETRICAL AND IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL RESEARCOF A PRIMARY TUMOR
Abstract
Quantimetrical and immunohistichemical characteristics of ovarian cancer with high risk of relapse compared with
ovarian carcinoma without recurrences were studied on operative and biopsy material from 120 patients. It was established
that serous ovarian carcinoma with high risk of tumor relapse had a lesser cellular size, but a higher nuclear-cellular ratio.
Morphometrical criteria of early cancer relapse (up to 6 months) and late recurrences of tumor growth were detected.
Immunohistochemical parameters (mt p53, PCNA) allow a reliable prediction of relapse of serous ovarian cancer.

SLOW-WAVE VARIABILITY OF VASCULAR CIRCULATION IN ADULTS (PERIOD)
Abstract
An analysis of the variability of aortic pulse amplitude (APA) and microvascular pulse amplitude (MPA) of great toe has been performed in apparently healthy men and women aged 22-35. Power spectral analysis of APA variability showed the prevalence of high-frequency (HF) oscillation range (0,15-0,5 Hz) associated with respiration; and the prevalence of very
low-frequency (VLF) oscillation (0,025-0,075 Hz) in MPA variability, which was found to be the marker of humoral-metabolic
regulation. There were found gender related specifications of absolute and relative indices of vascular pulse variability.

MYOCARDIUM INFARCTION: THE PATOMORFOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICOF VARIOUS FORMS
Abstract
By the spent research it is shown, that the general tendencies of occurrence and development by myocardial infarction
for last 30 years have not undergone essential changes. Reduction of number of thromboses from 50 to 30 % can be caused occurrence of more effective antiaggregant drugs and application modern thrombolytics both at stages of rendering
of the urgent help, and at treatment acute myocardial infarction. To macroscopic establish borders of a myocardial infarction
till 72 o'clock from the beginning of its development it is difficult enough, for pathological processes progress, and the heart
attack zone extends.
