The wastes of pharmaceutical production -a perspective source of biologically activesubstances (BAS)

Abstract

A study of composition of waste fruit of Crataegus sanquinea, leaves of Mentha piperita, herbs of Peonia anomala has shown the presence of main groups of BAS. Fractions from wastes of leaves of Mentha piperita and Peonia anomala herb has antibacterial activity while fractions from waste of Crataegus fruit has antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedative and antihypoxic activity.

Evaluation of behavioral risk factors associated with drug abuse and various forms of sexual behavior of teenagers in a big city

Abstract

The paper considers the incidence of smoking, alcohol abuse, destructive sexual behaviour among teenage high school students of the central and industrial districts of the city. It is shown that destructive forms of behaviour are common among teenagers. The study revealed higher rates of injectable drug-taking, smoking, alcohol-taking, sexual contacts among young people of industrial districts. These teenagers begin sexual life and drug-taking at an earlier age; they engage in unsafe sex more often. The incidence of negative behaviour forms is higher in girls than in boys.

Gene polymorphisms of angiotensin-converting enzyme, angiotensinogen and angiotensin II type I receptors in patients with a coronary heart disease

Abstract

To educidate the role of gene polymorphisms of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), angiotensinogen (ATG) and angiotensin II type 1 receptor (ATR1) as risk factors of chronic heart failure 100 patients were included in the study: 80 with coronary heart disease, 10 with arterial hypertension and 10 healthy volunteers. No correlation was found between ID gene polymorphism of АСГ, MT gene polymorphism of ATG and AC gene polymorphism of ATR1 with the risk of development of heart failure in coronary heart disease and arterial hypertension.

Examination of the statics of biomechanical system free-end prosthesis - support tissues using attachment shows that this static depends on the degree of atrophy of the alveolar crest, thickness and resilience of membrane of prosthetic bed. Constructive particularities of the prosthesis influence the state to a lesser degree.
