Abstract

This article is devoted to the national state policy of the Federal center of the Russian Federation in relation to the Republic of Karelia. The paper examines the features of the evolution of the socio-cultural space of Karelia in the context of its existence within the borders of the modern Russian state. This article analyzes the methods and forms of the state national policy of the federal center in the Russian regions on the example of the Republic of Karelia. As a result of the work done, the paradigms of transformation of the political institutions of the Republic of Karelia, aspirations and attitudes of the population and the political elite, the impact of changes in electoral processes on the political system of the region, potential growth points, etc. are revealed.
