Task. The author of the article set himself the task of identifying the features and prerequisites for violence in the family. Model. To solve such a theoretical problem, it is necessary to investigate various aspects of human behavior in the family in relation to its family members, to identify the causes of aggressive behavior in the family and, as a consequence, the manifestation of violence. Findings. The problem of domestic violence is a complex, multidimensional category, the study of which cannot be limited only to the field of law. The framework of the study. Limited to relations in the field of family, criminal, administrative law of the Russian Federation. Practical value. Determining the nature and specifics of violence in family relationships will help develop effective mechanisms for protecting the rights of family members in practice. Social consequences. Determining the originality of domestic violence will make it possible to identify the reasons for its occurrence, to assess the degree of influence on the behavior of family members of such a factor as internal family relations, which will eliminate in practice existing violations of the rights and interests of family members. Originality, value. Studying the conditions and prerequisites for domestic violence, identifying its specific characteristics and peculiarities will make it possible to formulate new requirements for organizing the work of special bodies whose activities are aimed at protecting the rights of citizens and formulating general approaches to the implementation of preventive work to prevent domestic violence. An analysis of the current legislation in this area will allow for additional guarantees to ensure the protection of family members from attacks on their lives and health.
