This article deals with a concept of one of the possible variants of opposing of destructive processes that lead to degradation and disappearance of Russian small settlements and towns, ruining areas identity basics, loss of places distinctive characteristics, living standards gap, loss of spirital alternative to the market. As an object - catalyst of positive changes and Russian areas regeneration, it is suggested to use the temple complex typology, with altered contents and purpose - a sort of «Science Town», that will follow the best traditions of Russian monasteries of past times, but will base on modern tasks and tendencies of social development and well-being of provincial Russian settlements.

ARCHITECTURE OF SPECIAL-PURPOSE BUILDINGS FOR ORPHAN CHILDREN

Abstract

This article presents a typological overview of specialpurpose buildings for orphan children in Russia and abroad, since the beginning of their existence until our days. Foreign experience is characterized by a great diversity in the typological structure of institutions for orphans, in their approach to raising children, functional richness, individual architectural and planning solutions, observance of strict economic requirements. In contrast, Russian experience has a limited typology of buildings for orphans, each with similar planning structure and a narrow set of service functions. The development of family type children’s homes is one of the promising directions of studies all over the world. Unfortunately, there aren’t very few good examples of specialpurpose buildings for orphan children in our country.

This architectural monument of constructivism is presented for including in the provisional list of objects of the world cultural heritage. The need to allocate a buffer zone is justified by international regulatory documents for protection of cultural heritage and risks of lossing of visual integrity of the ensemble of buildings in connection with absence of the town-planning regulation of building free areas.

PURIFICATION OF POLLUTED WATERS IN GEOCHEMICAL BARRIER

Abstract

The description of model of a geochemical barrier with granular loading from the siliconized calcite for purifi cation of the polluted waters, characteristic for areas of oil production and ores of metals is given. High or extreme concentration of chlorides, sulfates, iron, manganese, copper, oil products, sulfi des, iodine acted as pollutants. Tables of decrease in concentration and extent of cleaning of the specifi ed pollutants are given at horizontal fi ltering through granular loading at various speeds of fi ltering in various sites of a geochemical barrier.

INFLUENCE OF URBANIZATION ON SYSTEMS OF DRAINAGE AND RUNOFF WATER CLEANING (ON THE EXAMPLE OF SAMARA)

Abstract

In the article the history of development of runoff water system in Samara is viewed and the main results of realization of general plan of runoff water system are described. Imprevious surfaces in Samara have been changed after runoff water system design, so the calculations of drainage system of runoff water under diff erent fl ow coeffi cients depending on kind of imprevious surfaces and lawns are made. Infl uence of increasing number of imprevious surfaces in city on augmentation of runoff water discharge is shown. As a result the drainage system works in forced, rapidly wearing mode, there’s city streets fl ooding, and the cleaning structures aren’t keeping up. Therefore it’s necessary to meet requirements of proportion of diff erent green areas in city (as much as 40 %) and in residential area (as much as 25 %).
