Preheat and start-up stage is the one of the most important factors impacts on aluminum reduction cell life. In the whole aluminum industry isn't common opinion about the best way of the cell preheating and start-up yet. This article about two the most popular kinds of cell preheat studying using mathematical modeling for calculation of thermal, electrical fields and stress-strained state with help of finite-element code ANSYS and CFD code Star-CD.
