Extrahuman instances in Culture

Malyshev V.B.

Abstract

Extrahuman authorities are a leading guideline for expanding the inner world of man, so conceptualizing ideas about them seems to be an important methodological task. At the transcendental level, there must be some ciphers of perception that open the way for their comprehension. The author of the article proves that these ciphers are the original modalities of culture; the key position among them is occupied by the Elements of the inner world, Language and Game. The poetic rhythm and actualization of the original state of the language as poetry should be considered as separate milestones on the path of ecstatic worldview, which has transcendent or extrahuman instances with its marginal horizon.

Epic in russian drama of the xixth century (exemplified by A.N. Ostrovsky’s plays)

Tyutelova L.G.

Abstract

«Epic in drama» and «epic drama» are two problems, the solution of which in modern literary criticism makes it possible to determine the specifics of Russian literature and indicate its place in the world literary process. The study of the special features of A.N. Ostrovsky’s writing proves that in the XIXth century the process of romanization of drama was active, which led to the destruction of the genre canons developed in European culture. In the plays of the Russian playwright, the laws of unity of dramatic action are violated. The author can work with scenes and parts of acts, mastering the forms of epic drama. But most often he shows an event growing out of an undramatic situation, uses a novel type of perception of action, that is, he masters the elements of epic writing.

Lukina G.U., Teterina N.I., Aleksandrova V.A.

Abstract

One of the promising research projects of the State Institute for Art Studies at the present stage is the preparation of the academic publication of S.I. Taneev’s cantata John of Damascus. Paradoxically, so far there has been no single holistic study of this choral masterpiece that reveals the creative process of the composer - from sketches to the lifetime edition of the score (1904) and the clavier (1886) of this composition. The authors of the article focus on the historical factors that prevented the appearance of an academic publication of the cantata, give a review of musical, verbal and epistolary sources, consider the history of the study and publication of S.I. Taneev’s heritage in the XXth century in connection with the current problems of Taneev’s work study.
