Editorial Policies

Aims and Scope

The journal's policy is to create conditions for publishing, reviewing, discussing scientific research, expanding scientific relations, and attracting young specialists to scientific work. Editorial policy is based on the principles of science, reliability, objectivity, professionalism, compliance with the norms of publishing ethics.

Target audience: professors, graduate students and doctoral candidates engaged in the study of culture, artistic text and artistic creation; practitioners focused on the creation of creative and innovative events, projects, developments.

The goals of the publication are:

  • To promote the results of scientific research;
  • Activation of interaction between representatives of different scientific fields and communities;
  • Popularization of scientific achievements of recognized and young scientists in various spheres of culture and art.

Scientific directions:

  • Theory and history of culture, art;
  • Philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture;
  • Russian literature and literature of Russian peoples. Literature of foreign countries nations.
  • Russian language. Slavonic languages. Languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation.

 
 

Peer Review Process

Organization of scientific peer review

  1. A review is an evaluative analysis of a scientific article. Reviewing is carried out by specialists in the same subject area to which the author of the reviewed text belongs.
  2. The review determines the quality and compliance of the article with the scientific and thematic areas of the journal.

3 The Journal reviews all articles received by the Editorial Board.

  1. Leading experts with publications on the subject of the article under review for the last three years are involved in reviewing articles.
  2. The reviewer cannot be the author or co-author of the article under review. The reviewer cannot be an employee of the organization where the author of the article works or studies. 6.
  3. The Journal conducts a double-blind review of manuscripts. If there is a first positive review, the second review may not be required. The reviewer receives the manuscript for review without information about the authors. The author also has no information about the reviewer. Correspondence between the author and the reviewer occurs via the e-mail address in the electronic editorial office on the Journal's website.
  4. Sending the article for review is accompanied by a letter signed by the Head of the Editorial Board, which specifies the deadline for submission of the review.
  5. The reviewer makes a decision: a) to recommend the manuscript for publication without or with modification; b) to send it for additional review; c) to reject it. The review is submitted to the Editorial Board; the conclusions are recorded in the electronic version.
  6. The Editorial Board sends to the authors of manuscripts the results of the review.
  7. If the author of the article disagrees with the reviewer's comments, his motivated statement is considered by the Editorial Board of the Journal.
  8. A revised article may be sent for a second review.
  9. Reviews are stored in the Editorial Board of the Journal for five years. The reviews shall be sent to the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation upon request.

Frequency - 4 times a year (quarterly)

  • 1 December - the reception of materials from authors ends
  • 25 February - submission of the issue for printing

  • 1 March - ends acceptance of contributions from authors
  • 25 May - issue goes to press

  • 1 June - ends acceptance of contributions from authors
  • 25 August - issue goes to press
  • Issue publication - September

 

No. 4 / December:

  • 1 September - ends acceptance of contributions from authors
  • 25 November - issue goes to press

Open Access Policy

The journal adheres to the principle of providing open access to published materials.  This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The Publisher grants usage rights to others using an open license (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International) allowing for immediate free access to the work and permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.

 

 

Archiving

The journal uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to digitally preserve all the published articles. The PKP PN is a part of LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program offers decentralized and distributed preservation, seamless perpetual access, and preservation of the authentic original version of the content.

Also, the journal makes full-text archives on the Russian Science Electronic Library (http://elibrary.ru/) platform.
