Abstract

Central cloudy corneal dystrophy of Francois is relatively rare for clinical practice. It may cause difficulties in diagnosis of this condition and complicate the decision-making on timely surgical treatment of concomitant cataract in elderly patients. In the meantime, phacoemulsification in such patients is safe and does not lead to dystrophy progression.
