Abstract

Morphofunctional changes in neocortex, archicortex and paleocortex were studied in experiments on male rats after a single exposure to doses of 0,5 and 1,0 Gy. It was founded that the severity of changes and time of onset of compensatory responses in the alterative changed nerve cells depend on the dose and time after exposure, and the phylogenetic age of the cortex.

Agarkov A.A., Popova T.N., Matasova L.V., Popov S.S., Iskusnykh I.Y., Sklyarova E.I.

Abstract

Fragmentation of DNA from rat liver under type 2 diabetes has been observed. Furthermore, aconitase (EC 4.2.1.3) activity in rat liver and blood under this pathology is decreased in comparison with control group. Along with this fact the level of citrate in researching tissues is increased. Changes investigating parameters towards norm at introduction of melatonin were established, that is connected probably with realization of antioxidant action of the hormone.

Abstract

Miscarriage and fetal growth retardation which cause alterations in the protein synthesis function of the uteroplacental complex occupy one of the leading positions in the structure of causes of perinatal and child morbidity and mortality. Investigation of the dynamics of TBG, AMGF, PAMG levels during treatment of uteroplacental insufficiency was conducted. The changes revealed in the protein synthesis indicate dysaptation, which is more evident if there is fetal growth retardation than if there is threatened miscarriage.

Abstract

The results of studying the toxic action of soluble compounds of metals - zinc, lead, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten on the function of digestion after oral and parenteral admission has been presented in the article. Comparative toxicity of metal compounds on the function of digestion has been established. It has been shown that the dependence of the character and strength of the studied effect of the route of entry of metal compounds is determined by the value of their gastro-intestinal absorption and the degree of their removal from the organism through the digestive system.

Abstract

In order to identify risk factors and to study alteration of cerebral vessels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cerebrovascular disease, ultrasound Doppler investigation of extracranial vessels was performed in 67 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Atherosclerotic lesions of the vessels were detected in 67% of patients, depending on age, gender, body mass index, duration of diabetes and hypertension, systolic blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose level fluctuations during the day. The number of vessels affected by atherosclerosis and a higher degree of carotid stenosis was significantly higher in patients undergoing brainstroke. Quality of life was significantly lower in patients with diabetes associated with cerebrovascular disease, especially in patients after brainstroke.

CLINICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, AND MORPHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF LATE RESULTS FOR REVASCULARIZATION OF THE FEMORAL HEAD AND NECK IN DEGENERATIVE AND DYSTROPHIC DISEASES OF THE HIP JOINT IN ADULTS
Nazarov E.A., Papkov V.G., Levitin A.V., Musaeva R.F.

Abstract

At assessment of 41 patients at late (7 to 26 years) terms after revascularization of the femoral head and neck, it was determined that 9 patients who underwent the surgery at the early, pre-radiological, stage of a vascular femoral head necrosis (AFHN) are healthy. In 18 patients who underwent the surgery at late terms of degenerative and dystrophic diseases of the hip joint (DDDHJ), worsening of the radiological picture was not associated with clinical progression of the disease. Histological investigation of the femoral heads showed that the vascular complex implanted into the head and neck of the femur functions for up to 22 years, and the lumen of the artery is patent, blood supply improves. The above mentioned, obviously, implies some favorable influence of this surgical intervention on the course of the pathological process.

INFLUENCE OF RHINOSEPTOPLASTY ON CLINICAL ALLERGIC INDICES OF PATIENTS WITH ALLERGIC RHINITIS AND BRONCHIAL ASTHMA HAVING DEFLECTION OF NASAL SEPTUM
Polner S.A., Kozarenko E.A., Shevtsov E.A.

Abstract

The purpose of the present study is as follows: to determine the influence of rhinoseptoplasty on clinical allergic indices of patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma having deflection of nasal septum. An in-depth integrated examination was performed for 61 patients having deflection of nasal septum and suffering from allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma. 10 patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma without deflection of nasal septum served as a control group. The work included clinico-laboratory, otolaryngologic, functional and allergological methods. It has been found, that patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma, having deflection of nasal septum, proved more severe clinical progression of allergic diseases. Timely performed rhinoseptoplasty allows to reduce the severity of clinical progression and the frequency of allergic disease exacerbation, as well as to improve efficiency of pharmacotherapy applied to allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma.

SYNTHETIC DIRECT ANTIOXIDANT IONOL AS A PROMISING MEANS OF ANTI-CATARACT TREATMENT
Kolesnikov A.V.

Abstract

Conservative treatment of cataract, being the most common cause of reduced vision, is aimed at correcting certain metabolic disorders of crystalline lens and is of little efficiency. Currently, they recognize the free radical theory as the main theory of cataract pathogenesis, however, in the arsenal of conservative therapy there are no drugs with proven direct antioxidant activity. Ionol is a classic synthetic phenolic antioxidant, which is used as a drug in different fields of medicine for diseases associated with oxidative stress, but in ophthalmology ionol has not been previously used. Given the above, it is reasonable and relevant to study ionol as a promising means of anti-cataract treatment.
