RISK FACTORS OF HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA IN LIVER CIRRHOSIS IN THE OUTCOME OF AUTOIMMUNE HEPATITIS
Abstract
Addition of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection to liver cirrhosis in the outcome of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) was a cause of hepatocellular carcinoma and death in a young female woman (aged 35 years). The probability of primary liver cancer should be excluded in patients with AIH with its impaired stability and the signs of high disease activity. The possibility of seronegative HCV infection determines the need to use a highly sensitive polymerase chain reaction for the detection of the infection in serum and liver tissue.

GIANT NON-ORGAN RETROPERITONEAL LIPOSARCOMA
Abstract
The treatment of retroperitoneal sarcomas is based on surgical resection. All diagnostic algorithms and other treatment modalities should be managed by a multidisciplinary team at a high-volume center that focuses on the care of patients with sarcoma. The decision for preoperative therapy - chemotherapy or radiation - should be based on optimizing the patient for surgical resection.

DIABETES MELLITUS AS A PATHOLOGY PREDISPOSING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF RESPIRATORY DISEASES
Abstract
Diabetes mellitus has an enhanced susceptibility to infections. An open-label comparative randomized study has shown the efficiency of fusafungine (Bioparox) therapy for acute respiratory infections in reducing the duration of the disease, the quantity of used drugs, and the frequency of systemic antibacterial therapy, which is particularly important for diabetic patients.

CORRECTION OF THE PSYCHOSOMATIC STATUS OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC COCHLEOVESTIBULAR IMPAIRMENTS
Abstract
The psychosomatic status was studied in 26 patients aged 21 to 60 years with chronic vertebrogenic cochleovestibular impairments. Vestibular disorders, tinnitus, and diminished hearing have a negative impact on these patients. Nondrug correction of postural muscle imbalance promotes a significant reduction in the manifestations of reactive anxiety, which enhances the efficiency of treatment.

RADICAL SURGICAL TREATMENT FOR ENDOMETRIAL CANCER VIA LAPAROSCOPIC ACCESS
Abstract
The Gynecological Cancer Department, P.A. Herzen Oncology Research Institute, performed laparoscopic hysterectomy with pelvic lymphadenectomy for endometrial cancer in 80 women in July 2010 to August 2013. Video-assisted endoscopic extirpation of the uterus with pelvic lymphadenectomy may be considered as an alternative to laparotomy in patients with Stage I malignant uterine tumors.

Abstract
The high prevalence of chronic noncommunicable diseases, such as essential hypertension (39.4%), obesity (28.2%), and coronary heart disease (17.8%), with the characteristic high levels of blood pressure and cholesterol during improper control suggests that it is expedient to improve the system for the secondary prevention of chronic noncommunicable diseases at the stage of primary health care.
