Abstract
Approaches to the problem of synthesis of control algorithms for gear shift using electric-hydraulic and electronic devices were examined. It is noted that well-timed shift should increase tractor velocity and a “successful” algorithm should not worsen its usability. Possible criteria were analyzed.

Optimal engine power of a wheeled tractor depending on its tractive and coupling properties
Abstract
The slipping effect of all-wheel-drive energy-saturated wheeled tractors on their operational powers and masses was analyzed. Optimal values of operational powers and masses for respective tractive classes were established according to the 27021 State Standard.

Dynamic stability of a crawled tractor equipped with hydrovolumetric slewing mechanism when it is aggregated with a plough
Abstract
Dynamic model of a crawled tractor equipped with hydrovolumetric slewing mechanism is substantiated. It was used to estimate the dynamic stability of this tractor aggregated with a plough. Effect of hydrovolumetric slewing mechanism application on the crawled tractor on its average pass velocity is estimated experimentally.

Influence of wheel parameters on tire volume
Abstract
The values of tire volumes in a wheel cover depending on diameter, height of tire section and width of the wheel are obtained. The volume of driving, aligning and carrying wheels is determined using reference data on geometric parameters of different tractor tires.
