Accuracy, speed, import substitution

Vasilyev D.N.

Abstract

Influence of quantum state fidelity of a single photon source on the bit error rate in quantum key distribution

Frolovtsev D.N., Demin A.V.

Abstract

The paper analyzes the efficiency of a quantum state fidelity to assess the raw bit error value introduced by the polarization state of a single photon source. The analysis was performed for the quantum key distribution schemes BB84 and BBM92. It has been shown theoretically and experimentally that when the fidelity is decreased from 1 to 0 in the BB84 scheme, the raw bit error value linearly increases from 0 to 1, and in the BBM92 scheme – from 0 to 1/2. The experimental setups for determine the influence of fidelity on the bit error value are described in detail.

Bibliometric analysis of academic literature on quantum information processing

Terekhov A.I.

Abstract

The milestones are reviewed and a bibliometric analysis of the research development in the field of quantum information processing in 1990–2020 is performed. The focus is on the global publication of research papers, productivity of certain countries and organizations, and international scientific cooperation. By means of bibliometric indicators, the following areas are considered: dynamic development of the area, a high concentration degree of research and international academic networking, participation of large-scale corporations in such networks along with the universities and academic institutions, especially from Japan and military research entities, primarily from the USA. Russia is characterized by the following: a high concentration of research in the metropolitan agglomerations and its significant internationalization; significant contribution of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the growing role of universities in the development of the scientific base of quantum technologies, as well as the still weak involvement of the Russian commercial sector in the research activities. The data sources for analysis have been the bibliographic databases: Web of Science Core Collection and SCOPUS.

Night vision lens

Shishkin I.P., Shkadarevich A.P.

Abstract

Night vision lenses is presented: lenses with a focal length of 26 mm, 80 mm, 150 mm, catadioptric lens with 200 mm focal length and zoom lens with variable focal length of 24–80 mm. The use of low dispersion glass in lenses significantly increases their resolution. The design is optimal in terms of sensitivity of lens tolerances and can be successfully used in mass production.

Application of optical methods to assess physiological damage to wheat flag leaves

Baranova E.N., Shelepova O.V., Zolotukhina A.A., Nesterov G.V., Sudarikov K.A., Latushkin V.V., Gulevich A.A.

Abstract

The study explores the possibility of using hyperspectral imaging and RGB photography as a fast and reliable method for determining the chlorophyll content to assess the state of the photosynthetic apparatus. The results of an evaluation of the relationships between the spectral characteristics of the flag leaves reflectivity of wheat, the characteristics of their color and chlorophyll content under conditions of the presence and absence of flooding are presented. It has been revealed that the most accurate assessment of the state of plants can be derived based on the NDVI705 vegetation index obtained by hyperspectral data processing.

Optical Measurements

Procedure for determination of the electrical and acoustic properties of frozen soils during the defrosting cycle

Grigoriev D.V., Koshurnikov A.V.

Abstract

This paper presents an original optical method for studying the specifications of frozen soil samples. The method for determination of the moisture quantitative composition in the frozen geological rocks is based on the measurement principles for the typical spectra of attenuated total reflection (ATR) using a dual-frequency modulation method for recording the optical signal emitted by the InGaAsSb-based semiconductor heterostructures. Further development of this method will make it possible to identify correlations between the reflected radiation parameters and specifications of the electrical and acoustic properties of frozen soils during the defrosting cycle.
