Polyantsev A.A., Demidenko Y.A., Sidorov D.N., Kuznetsov A.A., Poliantsev A.A., Demidenko Y.A., Sidorov D.N., Kouznetsov A.A.

Abstract

Now-a-days pyelonephritis is considered to be one of the most frequent urological inflammatory diseases. Notwithstanding the use of standard diagnostic procedures, destructive forms of acute pyelonephritis are frequently noted. This demands a search for new highly informative noninvasive methods of acute pyelonephritis diagnostics.

Abstract

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was performed on 2467 patients with acute cholecystitis. All complications were manged by minimally invasive technologies. A conversion was observed in 11 (0,4 %) cases, mortality was at 1,1 %.Thus we can make a conclusion that at this modern stage of endosurgery laporoscopic surgery becomes a treatment of choice for management of acute cholecytitis.

Abstract

An analysis of treatment of 48 patients with complicated course of diverticular disease of the colon was carried out. A model is proposed for the protocol of complicated forms of diverticular disease. Diagnostic laparoscopy in the absence of peritonitis and impossibility to make a diagnosis by non-invasive methods was a method of choice in diagnostics of complications of diverticular disease. Abstract

Retrospective pharmacoepidemiological study of antibiotic consumption in community-acquired pneumonia in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in hospitals of Volgograd was performed. Administration of antibiotics in hospitals ranged from 108,9 to 173,3 with mean of 130,6 ± 29,3 DDD/100 bed-days. Cephalosporins were the most frequently used antibiotics (46,2 %). Penicillins, quinolones and macrolides were prescribed in 6,6, 14,5, 21,7 and 2,7 % for severe CAP, and 7,5, 20,2, 11,7, 7,4 % for non-severe CAP, respectively. The obtained data on the structure and volume of consumptions of antibiotics can be used for improvement of quality of pharmacotherapy of CAP for the given group of patients.

ADMINISTRATION OF TRANSCRANIAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION FOR NON-MOTOR SYMPTOMS OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE

Sarycheva T.N., Sarycheva T.N.

Abstract

The study involved 70 patients with Parkinson's disease. The diagnosis «Parkinson's disease» was confirmed in accordance with the diagnostic criteria of UK Parkinson's Disease Society Brain Bank (Gibb, Lees 1988). The study included patients of the mean age of (63,12 + 6,92) diagnosed with PD (6,2 ± 2,8) years ago. Scores on the Hoehn and Yahr scale varied from 1 to 3. Complex therapy approach proved efficient in treating non-motor symptoms such as fatigue, vegetative malfunctions, and anxiety; and overall quality of life of the PD patients improved.

IMPORTANCE OF ANTIBODIES TO ERYTHROCYTAL SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE IN CHANGE OF ITS ACTIVITY IN SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS

Shilova L.N., Emel'yanov N.N., Shilova L.N., Emeljanov N.N.

Abstract

A technique of immunoenzyme diagnostics of the level of antibodies to Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) on the basis of an immobilized form of magnet sorbent was developed for immune diagnostics of systemic sclerosis (SS) for the first time. Antibodies to SOD were found in sera of SS patients, their concentration correlates with the activity and course of disease. It is shown that the level of antibodies to SOD reliably differs from content of these antibodies in sera of healthy individuals. Detection of antibodies to SOD by means of the proposed method can be used as one of tests for SS diagnostics to determine the extent and course of the disease. The data we obtained demonstrate that antibodies to SOD invoke a decrease of enzymatic activity in vitro. Therefore the antibodies to enzyme may be one of the possible causes of decrease of SOD activity in patients.

Abstract

We performed complex MRI-pathomorphological study of brains with histological examination of MRI hyperintense lesions. Materials included 11 cadaveric brains with malignant neuroectodermal tumors. We performed cell counting in peritumoral area. In 10 cases we investigated water content using method of drying, and electrolyte content by flame photometry. Peritumoral area has a complex reactive and destructive nature with elective (incomplete) brain tissue necrosis. Water accumulation is a secondary process with substitution of tissue elements by water. Authors propose to characterize peritumoral changes as peritumoral encephalopathy.

COMPARATIVE MONITORING OF PHARMACOTHERAPY OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA IN CHILDREN

Lebedenko A.A., Savis'ko A.A., Lebedenko А.A., Savisko А.A.

Abstract

The results of 10-year comparative observation of approaches to basic anti-inflammatory therapy for children with asthma were presented. In 2000 417 patients with asthma were analyzed. The analysis revealed the dynamics of increasing the number of patients with a mild course of disease and the dynamics of decreasing for patients with medium and serious degree. Inhalation glucocorticosteroids became the main group of drugs in basic therapy including patients with mild forms of the disease. The main part of patients with severe forms received combination drugs (inhalation glucocorticosteroids + prolonged ß2-agonist). The rate of administration of leukotrien receptor antagonists grew considerably.

METABOLIC CHANGES IN ORGANS AND BLOOD UPON ALCOHOLISATION AND EXPERIMENTAL CHRONIC ALCOHOLIC PANCREATITIS

Letunovskiy A.V., Mikashinovich Z.I., Letunovsky A.V., Mikashinovich Z.I.

Abstract

To estimate the involvement of rat liver and myocardium in alcoholisation and experimental alcoholic pancreatitis, we estimated the content of lactate, pyruvate, reduced glutathione and its enzymes as well as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase. The development of alcoholic pancreatitis was accompanied by a rise of antioxidant parameters in the liver and myocardium followed by a depression of catalase activity while SOD and glutathione dependent enzymes were activated. All these parameters increased in the myocardium. Experimental alcoholic pancreatitis involved the liver and myocardium more strongly than the chronic alcohol intake.

Abstract

In this article it was demonstrated that a higher emotional intelligence is more important for effective work of operators at the potentially dangerous objects than psychometric intelligence. It was shown that operators with a high EQ do simulated operators' work by 8,3 % more effectively on average, and real operators' work - by 4,9 % more effectively than operators with an average EQ.

THE ASSESSMENT OF DIASTOLIC MYOCARDIAL FUNCTION AND OXYGEN TRANSPORT FUNCTION OF BLOOD IN CHILDREN WITH ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA RECEIVING POLYCHEMOTHERAPY

Abstract

One of the side effects of polychemotherapy is the development of progressive myocardial dysfunction. Changes in diastolic left ventricular filling are considered the earliest markers that precede a full-scale clinical picture of heart failure. There is a correlation between the changes in oxygen transport function of the blood and the development of diastolic myocardial dysfunction. The possibility of cardiac complications must be considered during cancer chemotherapy, and cardiotrophic therapy must be timely prescribed which will help to reduce the complication rate.
