Kinematic analysis of cam-gear-lever mechanism with elastic element in connecting rod

Balabina T.A., Mamaev A.N.

Abstract

The paper describes the scheme and dependencies required for kinematic calculating of mechanism ensuring driven member dwell fixing its position during dwell. It is achieved through creation of a rod by two parts connected by preloaded resilient element and through insertion of additional idle wheels for linkage between wheels mounted on the moveable hinge axes.

Fractal analysis of surface profile of machine parts using measuring device MarSurf XR20

Bavykin O.B., Plaksin S.V., Vycheslavova O.F.

Abstract

This paper proposes a method of fractal analysis of surface profile, based on joint application of the measuring device MarSurf XR20, spreadsheet editor Microsoft Excel and computer programs Fractan and MarWin. The results of surface profile fractal analysis obtained by using the proposed method are presented.

Natural-model tests of materials and coatings in simulated intense radiant and convective heat transfer of elements of heat and power equipment. Part 2: Physical and technical characteristics of thermal stand for testing of materials and coatings of diesel engine thermally insulated combustion chamber

Merzlikin V.G., Maximov A.D., Tovstonog V.A., Chirin K.V., Abdulmyanov R.N.

Abstract

The paper presents the basic physical and technical characteristics stand the heat, allow to carry out natural-model tests in a complex heat transfer. The authors showed that the preliminary stage of the test materials and coatings must be preceded by the traditional testing of individual units with insulated elements on the motor stands. The developed stand allows to generate a combined heat flux with simulation of frequency and phase shifts of radiant and convective components corresponding to indicator diagrams of diesels in their operating conditions. The authors consider the methodology of forming a model of the emission spectrum of incandescent soot particles in the range of ~ 0.8-1.5 microns with the magnitude of the heat flux up to ~ 2.1 MW/m 2 in given area of irradiated surface of diesel engine combustion chamber. The proposed testing methodology can be used to study the temperature and thermoradiation fields of thermally loaded parts of engines, turbines, aerospace units of various thermal power plants and systems.

Features of high-speed milling machining

Olenin L.D., Ochkin D.I.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of features of milling in high-speed machining mode (HSM) to ensure the quality and productivity in milling. The requirements to the equipment, cutting and auxiliary tool, as well as the preparation of control programs are formulated. The causes of vibration in the processing mode HSM are analysed, and also the ways to reduce it. Practical recommendations about a choice and debugging of cutting conditions, including consideration of the acoustic characteristics of the technological system are stated.
