THE ACTIVITIES OF ORGANIZED CRIMINAL GROUPS AS A THREAT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The article presents an analysis of the criminal law and law enforcement practice of the Russian Federation on the subject of the features of the activities of modern organized criminal groups. The author concludes that at present the activities of these groups should be considered not only as a threat to state and public security, but also as a threat to the national security of the Russian Federation. It also emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in connection with the cross-border nature of the activities of modern criminal groups.
