Liquid Chromatograph LicArt 62 from Labconcept Group Running Space CDS Software is a Universal Tool for Pharmaceutical Analysis
Abstract
High-performance liquid chromatography is the most common instrumental chemistry method used in pharmaceutical analysis in the development and quality control of drugs. It is used both to analyze the content of the main active substance and impurities that are contained in raw materials or formed during the technological process of production of the dosage form, as well as during the storage of finished drugs and active pharmaceutical substances. In addition, chromatography is often used to determine
the authenticity of medicines. The biopharmaceutical industry uses gel permeation chromatography using specialized software to determine the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of biopolymers, which determine the biological activity, safety and effectiveness of drugs. The article describes the technical characteristics, capabilities and advantages of the LicArt 62 liquid chromatograph running Space CDS software.

Microextraction Preconcentration of Antibacterial and Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs from Liquid and Solid Samples
Abstract
A set of methods for the determination of pharmaceutical substances in biological fluids, as well as approaches for fast quality control of pharmaceutical preparations was proposed. Special attention was paid to the development of efficient methods of sample preparation, allowing to increase the throughput of pharmaceutical analysis, as well as to reduce labour costs, reduce the consumption of samples, reagents and waste generated. The analytical capabilities of microextraction methods in the analysis of pharmaceutical preparations and biomedical objects were demonstrated. It was shown that switchable hydrophilicity extractants and supramolecular solvents provide high extraction recoveries of antibacterial pharmaceutical substances from samples of complex composition. The paper also presents methods of automation of microextraction processes on the principles of flow methods.
Determination of Arsenic by Flame and Electrothermal Atomic Absorption Spectrometry after Microwave Decomposition of Samples. The Comparison of Methods
Abstract
The limit of arsenic content in food products is strictly regulated. The article describes the determination of arsenic in modern laboratory conditions on domestic equipment and reagents by atomic absorption spectrometry with flame and graphite furnace atomization methods. The arsenic content in seafood samples was determined, statistical processing of the results is performed, and metrological characteristics are calculated. A comparison of methods was carried out.
Simultaneous Determination of Acetaminophen, Caffeine and Acetylsalicylic Acid by Multiwavelength UV-spectrometric Method
Abstract
A method of simultaneous determination of acetaminophen, caffeine and acetylsalicylic acid in industrial equipment cleaning rinse waters using the multiwavelength UV-spectrometry with the processing of spectra by the classical least squares method was proposed. The spectra were recorded at the wavelength interval from 200 to 300 nm in an aqueous solution without prior pH regulation. The calculation of the concentrations of the mixture components was performed using the linear algebra methods. The method allows the simultaneous determination of acetaminophen, caffeine and acetylsalicylic acid in a solution in the concentrations interval of 2–10 mg/l, does not require a lengthy sample preparation and the sophisticated equipment, and is suitable for the routine simultaneous determination of the three mixture components in the rinse waters from the industrial equipment cleaning.
Digital Colorimetry in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Food Control
Abstract
The article discusses the possibilities of using digital colorimetry in pharmaceutical analysis and in quality control and food safety using color – recording devices – scanners, webcams, digital cameras and smartphones. Digital colorimetric techniques are characterized by efficiency, low cost of a single analysis, and the possibility of using digital cameras and smartphones in non-laboratory conditions.
