Rendering the biblical references as an important translation aspect: foreign language practical course
Zhuravlev A.P.
Abstract

The paper deals with the issue of rendering intertextual Biblical references in translation of literary works from English into Russian. The paper analyzes the concept of intertextuality which is considered to be the integral feature of any literary text. The Biblical references in literary works of all kinds are seen as a particular case of intertextuality. Because the translation of a literary text is a transition of the authors’ message not only into another language but also into a different social and cultural environment, being Bible-literate is one of the essential requirements a translator must meet. Being familiar with the Bible means that a translator is able to recognize a reference in the original literary text and render it properly in the translation. Thus, both the author’s intention and the authentic flair are preserved.

Teaching translation through analysis of particular cases, as well as the results obtained and conclusions drawn can be used to train future translators and form a number of their professional competencies in the fields of linguistics and translation studies.

Nedbaylik S.R., Dmitrieva V.A., Shestak O.L.
Abstract

This article discusses some aspects of teaching foreign language writing and written speech activity to students-linguists in higher schools. The authors provide a general overview of methodological approaches that existed in the domestic practice of teaching a foreign language in various historic periods, identifying both their causality and the main shortcomings. In this connection they cite as a starting point some methodology approaches to teaching writing and speech activity, practiced in foreign and Russian scientific schools. At the same time, the paper also highlights the current changes in modern university curricula and educational and methodological complexes related to the formation of written communicative competence, as well as the most significant factors underlying them. Emphasizing a rather specific nature of independent creative writing as one of productive speech activity types and important means of communication, the researchers offer as an alternative means of teaching some complexes of non-standard multi-level test tasks, specifically elaborated and used in the frame of annual distance project linguistic-cultural quiz competitions in English as a foreign language.

Apophatic horizon in contemporary artistic culture (the phenomenon of «reverse perspective» in the poetry of Valeriy Dudarev)
Dudareva M.A., Mitronova A.S.
Abstract

The object of the article is the phenomenon of apophaticism in modern artistic culture. The subject of the research is the analysis of apophatisation and digitalisation processes in contemporary poetry. The research material is based on the early literary essays by Valery Dudarev, a Russian poet and chief editor of magazine “Yunost”, a representative of the 1990’s poetry. The focus of the hermeneutic analysis is a widely known poem “Yellow Fences” set to music by Anatoly Shamardin, soloist of Leonid Utesov’s band, and further illustrated by a music video clip, as narrated by poetess Nina Krasnova. The relevance of the undertaken research is accounted for by the growing need to conceptualise the new status of poetry, classical and modern, in the media space, in particular, to analyse the problem of digital turn in art in ontological and axiological terms, since the latter is leading to massification and desacralisation of the poetic word today. Much attention is paid to hermeneutic reconstruction of life and death ethos in the poet’s verse, as well as the reverse perspective technique associated with the play of light and colour in the text. This shows the need for cultural, philosophical and philological analysis of the poetic word contrary to skimming, reading the sense through the tools of modern media environment. In counterbalance to the process of digitalisation which leads to excessive accessibility and massification of contemporary art, the culture is developing an opposite process of apophaticism of creative activities, which requires profound literary and culturological reflexion.

Apophatics of artistic thinking of V.F. Dudarev
Dudareva M.A., Rozhdestvenskaya O.Y.
Abstract

The object of the study is the phenomenon of cultural apophatics, manifested in Russian artistic verbal culture, in poetry. The subject of scientific work is the figurative realizations of this phenomenon in modern poetry. The material for the article was the poetry of Valery Dudarev (editor-in-chief of the literary magazine “Youth” from 2007 to 2019), namely his poems from the early winter cycle, presented in the collections “On the slope of the twentieth century” and “Vetla”. The center of the hermeneutic analysis is the figurative realizations of the phenomenon of apophatics in the poet's poetry collection, which manifested the apophatic tradition of color and light associated with the existential loneliness, knowledge of the Other. We turn to Pushkin's text, views on the art of artists of the modernist era, V. Kandinsky at the typological level. We consider in detail the concept of “apophatics”, without which it is impossible to make a methodological breakthrough in terms of understanding the ontological issues of creativity. The results of the study consist in identifying the cultural-philosophical potential of modern poetry for further study of the problem of apophatics as a phenomenon of Russian artistic culture, its national existence. The results of the work may be of interest to literary scholars who include literature in the space of the great Bakhtinian dialogue of cultures, and can also be used in teaching courses on cultural studies and philosophy.

Philological reflection on the book “poetry in the digital epoque. Entelechy of culture (essays on love)”: onto-logical status of the poet of XXI century
Kon'kova S.A.
Abstract

The object of the article is the phenomenon of modern poetry. The subject of the research is the relationship between the poet of the 21st century and his ontological status in the digital epoque. The material for the work is the monograph edited by professor of cultural studies M. A. Dudareva “Poetry in the Digital Age. Entelechy of Culture (Essays on Love)”. At the center of the hermeneutic and comparative analysis stands intent academic reading of cult poets referred to the almanac “Poetry Day - 21st Century”. The ontological self of the poet of the 21st century is revealed, emerging through the dominance of screen culture and the triumph of simulacrum. The relevance of the research is due to the need to build a communicative bridge between the avid reader and the modern poet dialoguing with tradition and being estranged from the pop culture. The author of the study pays great attention to natural, archetypal symbols (road, sun, river, rain, winter), metaphorically explaining by them the state of modern poetry. In contrast to the pop idols of 21 century poetry, the culture is undergoing a process of slow but sure return to the poet's ontological self, without the harmful influence of the digitalization. This process requires deep philological reflection.

To the question of russian schellingianism: poetic dystopia by E.A. Bara-tynsky
Patroeva N.V.
Abstract

The object of the research is the existential theme and hypnological motifs in Russian philosophical romantic lyrics in the aspect of its connection with the works of F. Schelling and the genre of dystopia. The material of the analysis is the poem of the ‘poet of thought’ E. A. Baratynsky ‘The Last Death’. Parallels are drawn with biblical texts, as well as the genre of ‘vision’ and the poetry of J. G. Byron (poem "Darkness"). The results of the study consist in identifying the philosophical potential of Russian lyrics in general and the poetry of E. A. Baratynsky in particular, as well as introducing the concept of poetic dystopia into the literary thesaurus and genristics. Baratynsky's fantastic canvas is a gloomy prophecy about the future of the Earth. The reason for the gradual degradation of civilization and the extinction of mankind is the oblivion of the sphere of feelings by people, the hypertrophy of the rational principle, the rupture of the connection with the natural world. Deep psychologism distinguishes the beginning of poetic dystopia, characterizing the borderline state of consciousness. The brilliant prophecy in Baratynsky's dystopia anticipates the discoveries of science fiction writers and philosophers of the twentieth century. The results of the work may be of interest to literary scholars, and can also be used in teaching courses on the philosophy and history of Russian culture.

Leontyeva A.N.
Abstract

In recent years, such a category of psychology as subjective well-being has become the subject of special attention of scientists and practitioners from various fields of scientific knowledge. Futurological russian studies in the art world of K.D. Balmont and the religious philosophy of N.A. Berdyaev (ethos of retrospect and per-spectives of domesticated time)
Okeansky V.P., Okeanskaya Z.L.
Abstract

The authors compare the Russian studies reflections of the poet and the philosopher on the subject of thematization of the future of Russia. Balmont turns out to be significantly close to the involutionist type of Guenon traditionalism, which in principle leaves no intra–ethnic chances of renovation, while Berdyaev, staying in the paradigm of Modernity, hopes for the cultural and civilizational possibilities of the original Russian world that persist through historical catastrophes. The very in-depth and fundamental rapprochement of Balmont as a poet and writer with a large-scale religious and philosophical thematic scope and Berdyaev as a religious philosopher who works more in a literary manner and the style of emphasized expressionism is carried out here for the first time. Although the eschatological Russian studies, so obvious in each of them, simply could not be avoided in any serious and thorough study of the heritage of each of them individually, including by the authors of this article. It is interesting that, despite the undoubted closeness of these brightest contemporaries, two completely different and even opposite ethos appear before us. The proximity of their life worlds only emphasizes these diverging paths from a single garden, in this case – as two paths: to the past and to the future, and it cannot be said that one can be more significant than the other, because the future time will someday burn out in history, as well as the time of the past will remain in its inner perfection.

Theatrical folklore holidays in the modern festive culture of luhansk region
Oleinikova M.V.
Abstract

This article examines theatrical folklore festivals as an important element of the modern festive culture of the Luhansk region. Their features, functions and role in the preservation of folk traditions are analyzed. The influence of modern trends on the development of folklore holidays and their perception by society is considered. The author examines the rich tradition of folklore festivals of the Luhansk region, the origins of which go back to agrarian rituals and rituals associated with rural labor. Attention is also paid to the transformations of folklore festivals caused by historical and social changes such as the Industrial Revolution and Soviet ideology. Despite the threat of the disappearance of some customs after the collapse of the USSR, folklore holidays are regaining popularity in the modern context of the Luhansk People's Republic, which is associated with an increasing interest in national identity and cultural traditions. Summing up, the author emphasizes that the theatrical folklore festivals of the Luhansk region serve as an important tool not only for the preservation of cultural heritage, but also for its active renewal and interaction with modern society. These holidays, integrated with new media forms and technologies, allow us to maintain interest in folk culture and pass on traditions to new generations, thereby making folklore a dynamic and lively process in the context of the modern world.

Entelechy of expressionism in contemporary fine arts: Maria Suvorova's exposition «more than theatre»
Radaeva E.A.
Abstract

The research material is a series of paintings (2015–2024) from the exhibition of the contemporary Russian artist Maria Suvorova “More than a Theatre” presented in the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts. This article expands on the semantic palette of individual paintings by M. Suvorova and partially characterizes the features of the author’s technique. The author of the article makes assumptions regarding the traditions of expressionist painting and graphics (E. Nolde, E.L. Kirchner, E. Heckel, M. Pechstein, F. Bleyl), which can be traced in the creative manner of M. Suvorova, despite the fact that reviews of her paintings previously spoke only about the Italian metaphysicians. The study ends with the conclusion that the entelechy of expressionism, thanks to its “magic and mystery that cannot be trivialized,” is still fully realized in contemporary fine art. And on the example of the considered paintings, the aesthetics of expressionism, this "guest from the Gothic", which absorbed both the Baroque and Romantic traditions, is associated with the most sacred nature of the Theatre, the Dionysian and Apollonian beginning of art as such and with the consciousness of the artist-painter, in which these beginnings are refracted. Research methods: the research selected hermeneutic, cognitive-discursive, as well as content analysis of visual material.

Political subjectivity of youth in conditions of digitization: risks and pro-spects
Teslenko A.N., Kolyvanova L.A., Markunin R.S.
Abstract

The article considers one of the problems of formation of political views of young people in the current conditions. The methodological bases of the study of political activity, conditions of development of politically active young gen-eration and its integration into the socio-political process are outlined. Such an integrated approach allowed the au-thors to determine the most essential features of political activity and subjectivity of young people, which are most clearly manifested in conventional forms of political participation. The place and role of political subjectivity in the process of socialization of young people, the importance of youth public organizations (associations), institutions of youth self-government and parliamentarism are shown. It is concluded that the effectiveness of development of inter-action of relations in the system «youth-society-state» largely depends on their political consciousness, civil and spir-itual-moral values. In addition, the authors considered the influence of digitalization on the political consciousness of young people, formed taking into account the development of their socially significant communication in the condi-tions of risks of disinformation and manipulation of public opinion existing in the social space. In this regard, special attention is paid to the development of a strategy for the formation of positive political views of young people in the context of the digitalization of society, as well as promising areas for the development of political subjectivity.
