Serikov A.E.

Abstract

When victimology was born in the middle of 20 century its starting idea was possibility of victim precipitation, but then it developed towards victimogogy, victim assistance, victim offender mediation, restorative justice etc., generally assuming victim innocence. There is an analogy in the theory of sacrifice by R. Girard: in primitive societies those who sacrificed are believed to be guilty but not so in Christianity. The analysis of such trends shows that innocence of victim is the most essential feature of victim images in contemporary Western culture

BASIC METAPHORS OF FREEDOM IN THE SYSTEM OF SEMIOTIC KNOWLEDGE

Gorshkov S.Y.

Abstract

The description of the idea of freedom can be realized with the help of different language strategies. Due to the prevailing rational perception of the world, our idea of the phenomenon of freedom can not be quite adequate, because in this case we depart from representative clarity. The author offers an alternative mechanism for describing and systematizing knowledge about the phenomenon of freedom using the language of basic metaphors. The underlying metaphor is a promising model heuristic, a representative with clarity. In the context of a literary text, they appear situationally as derivatives of metaphrases.

PROBLEMATIC INTERPRETATION OF THE TERM MUSIC THEORY IN THE CONTEXT OF REGIONAL CIVILIZATIONS

Gorbatov D.B.

Abstract

The article deals with the problems of definitions of such basic concepts as "music"," theory" and "music theory", established in modern Russian Humanities and pedagogy. It is shown that the definitions of the concept "music" given in the Soviet encyclopedic publications are essentially erroneous and logically untenable; at the same time, the confusion of the concepts "emotion" and "feeling" is demonstrated, as well as the illegality of the concept "imaginative thought" in application to music. The need for a clearer distinction between the concepts of "thought" and "meaning" from the point of view of syntagmatic and actual articulation of a sound utterance (respectively), as well as the possibility of using such a division in music theory, are stated. The author emphasizes the obvious discrepancy in the positioning of educational and practical disciplines (de facto) as musical-theoretical (de jure). It is noted that traditional music theory is limited by the contextual framework of Modern culture and attempts to overcome this limitation made by the Moscow composer, ethnomusicologist and musical philosopher Jivaní Mikhaylov (1938-1995). The need to promote modern humanitarian knowledge in the direction of creating a universal theory of music is emphasized.

In the conclusion the necessity of modal analysis in the frame of ontological approach is stressed, whilst in gnoseology the connection of these two notions with judgement is primordial
