«BANALITY AND TRANSPARENCY OF EVIL» OF VIRTUAL COMMUNICATIONS

Bakshutova Е.V.

Abstract

The author introduces the discussion of the problems of discussions on social networks (Russian-speaking sector of Facebook): speech violence and aggression - into a philosophical and ethical context. For this, such concepts are used as «the banality of evil» (nondiscrimination of other people behind its routine and feedback from them); «Transparency of evil» (transformation of the Other into a simulacrum, the absent Other); «Wolves» and «sheep» (actors of one and another kind of evil). We assert that common evil is characteristic of «sheep», and transparent evil for «wolves». «Wolves» create evil consciously and deliberately, instilling in «sheep» the idea that evil is not evil at all. Participants in online discussions, initiators and commentators, are also divided into these groups: some of them start discussions by launching aggressive messages, while others do not so much discuss the proposed topic as react aggressively to them. The danger of the generated evil is in pitting people against each other, in the initiation of mutual hatred and general alienation.

SOCIAL MODIFICATIONS OF TECHNOLOGICAL DETERMINISM

Loiko A.I.

Abstract

The article describes two social modifications of technological determinism associated with the first and second industrial revolutions and with the third and fourth industrial revolutions. The forms of reaction of public consciousness to the spread of the influence of technology in society have been studied and the difference in this response has been stated. The reasons for this different response are shown, due to structural changes in society, the structure of employment, and the special status of social networks. Attention is paid to the influence of the employment structure on the perception of the consequences of the formed technological trends. It was stated that the first modification of technological determinism had a stronger critical reaction to the mechanization and dehumanization of social practices. The critical reaction to the second digital social modification of technological determinism is just being formed. This is due to the fact that the liberal period in social networks did not focus the attention of participants in social communication on shortcomings. This was also facilitated by the peculiarities of the cognitive thinking of the actors of cross-cultural communication, due to the liberal atmosphere of the space of Internet platforms.

On the “national aspect” in music as a cognitive problem. Information for pondering

Gorbatov D.B.

Abstract

Both the validity of the “national music” concept and the extent of its correlation with the “national language” concept are discussed in the article from the viewpoint of today’s humanitarian studies. It is proved that “classical” and “folk” Russian music are actually incomparable to each other and that the former is fundamentally alien to the latter. It is also shown that the music of one and the same nation at different time periods of its history may represent essentially different phenomena of culture, just as the music of different nations at the same time period may, on the contrary, represent the same phenomenon. On the one hand, three aspects are mentioned that allow to state the fundamental resemblance of music and language: (1) structuredness, (2) voicing, and (3) temporality; on the other hand, the main differences in the specific features of these aspects in both music and language are described. The article aims to contribute to the gradual overcoming of ideological delusions of the obsolete Soviet aesthetics when considering the “national aspect” in the context of music culture.

SUBSTANTIVE AND RELATIONAL MODELS IN THE PARADIGM OF A POST SUBSTANTIALITY

Baryshkov V.P.

Abstract

The article distinguishes several interrelated aspects in the topic of substantialism / relationism. The first aspect is the interpretation of space and time in this dualism; the second aspect is the characteristic features and correlation of the substantial and relational pictures of the world and ways of thinking; the third aspect is the manifestation of these ways of thinking in various types of discourses. The author believes that the difference between substantialism (essentialism, substantialism) and relativism (functionalism, constructivism, contextuality) can be expressed by a scheme using the fundamental categories of ontology - "thing", "property", "relation". The characteristic features of the relational model of the worldview are revealed - meaninglessness and spontaneity, non-guaranteed, situational outcome in contrast to the necessity and regularity in essential monism. In the proposed interpretation, the concept of "substance" includes signs of formation - historicity, variability, dynamics.

LANGUAGE REDUNDANCY FOR COMMUNICATION PURPOSES AS THE BASIS OF THE GLOTTOGENESIS HYPOTHESIS

Kostetckii V.V.

Abstract

The article analyzes the reason of philosophy understanding of the transcendental subject through language is replaced by the understanding of language through the transcendental subject. As a result, the language is taken out of the signal forms of communication and is interpreted not as a signal, but as a prescription, that is, the law and the letter. Accordingly, language approaches not with speech and poetry, but with jurisprudence. The time of the appearance of the language falls on the priestly culture of the era of the first civilizations. The redundancy of language for forms of living communication is compared with the redundancy of human sexuality for biological procreation. The materials drawn from primitive culture, in particular shamanism, allow us to raise the question of the role of trance rituals in the origin of language. Accordingly, the theories of the origin of language through the evolution of signal forms of communication, the improvement of labor, the development of interpersonal relations should be recognized as having no basis in the history of culture.

Klimova E.A.

Also, this article discusses the philosopher’s rationale for panqualism. Based on the selected aspects, the author tried to revise some of the premises of this theory, as well as to solve the problem of panqualism by replacing qualia as the basis of consciousness with self-perception.
