Abstract

Effective work of nurses is possible only if there are carefully developed and approved work plans, regulations for their monthly activities, skills in delegating functions to accountable nursing staff, constant care for the nursing staff, which includes, among other things, occupational safety, load optimization, awareness, assessment of their efforts, etc., as well as provided by management medical organizations provide full support to the activities of heads of nursing services in terms of logistical and regulatory support, remuneration, etc.

The head of the nursing service should be able to accumulate and analyze data related not only to the activities of the nursing service, but also to the medical organization as a whole, objectively assess the qualities of his subordinates (personal, professional), identify problems and prioritize the nursing service.
