SOLUBILITY OF DIFFERENT CALCIUM PREPARATIONS DEPENDING ON MEDIUM ACIDITY

Gromova O., Volkov A., Torshin I., Gromov A., Nosikov V., Gogoleva I.

Abstract

The pharmacokinetic parameters of oral calcium (Ca) preparations substantially depend on the gastrointestinal tract, primarily on gastric acidity, as confirmed by the comparative analysis of the solubility of inorganic (first-generation) and organic (second-generation) Ca preparations. The organic Ca preparations better dissolve in water and far less depend on the pH of gastric juice, which considerably increases Ca absorption in the body.

Koretskaya N., Narkevich A.

Abstract

The pattern of clinical forms of pulmonary tuberculosis and its characteristics were compara-tively analyzed in 1858 patients actively detected on verification fluorographic examination (VFGE) and in 1580 patients identified on referrals. It was shown that on active detection, the proportion of caseous pneumonia, fibrocavernous tuberculosis, and disseminated tuberculosis was 28, 6, and 1.4 times lower, respectively; that of disseminated (one lobe or more) processes, destruction, and bacterial excretion was 1.8-fold lower, the latter being half its intensity. It was concluded that it is necessary to regularly perform VFGE in the entire population.
