CLINICAL AND LABORATORY ASPECTS OF THE LONGEVITY PHENOMENON
Abstract
Blood biochemical parameters were comparatively analyzed in long-livers and 85-89-year-old patients. In the majority of the long-livers, the lipid metabolic parameters were within the normal range and the incidence of hypercholesterolemia and hyperfibrinogenemia was significantly lower than that in the 85-89-year-old group. The determinants of the development of dementia after 85 years of age were analyzed.

OXIDATIVE STRESS AND AGING: POSSIBLE CORRECTION
Abstract
The article presents literature data on the problem of aging, a marked increase in the number of elderly and senile age in the world; examines various theories of aging. It was found that the most relevant theory of aging, at the moment, is the theory of oxidative stress (free radical theory). It is revealed that with age there is an increase in the number of active forms of oxygen in the cells, the intensity of oxidative processes in the mitochondria and decreased antioxidant protection. Currently actively being sought methods of influence on oxidative stress, we conducted a study of natural and synthetic antioxidants, evaluates their impact on the intensity of oxidative processes in cells and the human body in General. Underway to develop new antioxidants, a three-dimensional supramolecular compounds that have intrinsic antioxidant activity.

AGE CHANGES MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM: TIMELY DETECTION, TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION
Abstract
Pathology of the musculoskeletal system is widespread in the population and, together with involutive changes are among the most frequent diseases of elderly patients. The most significant of them - osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and sarcopenia. All three components in isolation, of course, lead to reduced quality of life. In this paper, the problem of interference of these states and their joint impact on the musculoskeletal system as a target organ; examined ways to improve the diagnostic search of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and sarcopenia. It was noted that in addition to performing standard diagnostic algorithm of these states, the important is to use specialized (geriatric) diagnostics. It emphasizes that, given the integration of the pathology of the musculoskeletal system for the effectiveness of medical and medico-social rehabilitation programs require the use and development is integrated techniques.

OVERWEIGHT AND INSUFFICIENT WEIGHT AS EQUIVALENT RISK FACTORS OF PREMATURE AGING
Abstract
The relevance of obesity is due not only to its high prevalence and negative impact on the patients quality of life and, especially, a high risk of developing various diseases, leading to early disability and substantially reduce the life expectancy of obese individuals are at risk of premature aging. However, the problem of insufficient weight to the patient is as dangerous as excessive weight to the risk of premature aging and disease.

MALNUTRITION AND OTHER GERIATRIC SYNDROMES
Abstract
Malnutrition syndrome is one of the leading clinical and sociomedical geriatric syndromes. What is more, there is an increase in the risk of its development and magnitude due to multiple comorbidities at an elderly age and particularly to the development of oral disease.

PROSPECTIVE METHODS OF ASSESSING DRUGS INTERCHANGEABILITY
Abstract
To optimize prospective methods of evaluation of drugs interchangeability a patent research was conducted. The results of the patent research are presented in this article. The outcome of this exploration will help to optimize the process of comparative evaluation of the reference drug and generic (or biosimilar).

PROMISING AREAS OF COMPLEX CEREBRAL PROTECTION
Abstract
New pharmacological preparations, the main action of which is aimed at preventing and treating brain edema, by both normalizing vascular tissue permeability and reducing the impact of ischemia and hypoxia, by restoring microcirculation and normalizing vascular tone, are being intensively introduced into medical practice.

COMPLICATIONS OF GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE IN ELDERLY PATIENTS
Abstract
The incidence of complicated gastroesophageal reflux disease is more than 2.5-fold higher in elderly people. The age factor is of the greatest importance for mucosal ulceration in the distal esophagus. The proton pump inhibitor (PPI)-alginate (Gaviscon®) combination is a more pathogenetically sound treatment than PPI monotherapy.

GASTRIC ACID-PRODUCING FUNCTION IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH ELDERLY-ONSET GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE
Abstract
One of the most valid methods of diagnosing gastroesophageal reflux disease is the determination of the presence of gastroesophageal reflux from the data of daily pH-metry. Statistically significant differences have been established in the key pH-metry values depending on age. Correlation analysis has revealed the major factors that influence these values.

ROLE OF ADIPOKINES IN THE PROGRESSION OF COLORECTAL CANCER
Abstract
Measurement of serum leptin levels in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) may be used as an additional study to assess the prognosis of the disease irrespective of its stage. Patients with a special pretreatment serum leptin level of >30 ng should be included into a group at high risk for CRC progression.

DEATHS FROM ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION IN SURGICAL INPATIENTS
Abstract
Analysis of deaths from acute myocardial infarction in surgical inpatients confirms the low alertness of the hospital staff of nonspecialized departments for the development of acute coronary disease particularly in high-risk or older patients and the necessity of being guided by national guidelines for the prediction and prevention of cardiac events during extracardiac surgical interventions.

C-PROTEIN IS A MARKER OF CHRONIC VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY IN LOWER EXTREMITY ERYSIPELAS
Abstract
The time course of changes in C-protein levels in relation to the site of an infection/inflammation focus was studied in patients with facial erysipelas and lower extremity erysipelas (including this condition in the presence of chronic venous insufficiency).

THE PARAMETERS OF HEMOSTASIS PROTEIN AND LIPID METABOLISM IN RELATION TO THE DURATION OF TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS
Abstract
The parameters of hemostasis protein and lipid spectrum were comprehensively analyzed in 196 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) in relation to its duration. It was ascertained that the platelet coagulation hemostatic changes occurring at the onset of DM2 were unrelated to the duration of the disease and associated with alterations in carbohydrate, protein, and lipid metabolic parameters, the pattern of which was determined by the duration of DM2.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FOR ACHIEVEMENT OF THE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE OF A PRIVATE POLYCLINIC
Abstract
The paper gives proof of human resource management as one of the mechanisms for formation of the competitive advantage of a private polyclinic. The results of a questionnaire survey of 241 medical workers from 11 Moscow private polyclinics have been used to estimate the main sources of their satisfaction with a working process and to identify their parameters significantly affecting an employee’s desire to change their job. Priority technologies for human resource management strategy at a private polyclinic are laid down and given.
