Сonstipation: clinical characteristics, diagnostics,non-medication treatment
Abstract
In the review devoted to problems of diagnostics and non-drug treatment of chronic constipation modern view on the pathogenesis of constipation is presented. Principles of diagnostics and approaches to treatment of constipation in elderly patients are considered. Most common complications of chronic and acute constipation, like coprostasis, are evaluated.

Clinical-morphological substantiation of risk factorsof gastrointestinal complications in patients operatedon the heart
Abstract
We have studied the morphology of pericardium and parietal peritoneum in patients after open-heart operations with concomitant abdominal pathologies. The morphology of pericardium and parietal peritoneum was studied before and after cardiopulmonary bypass. We have ascertained that there is disturbance of microcirculation both in the pericardium and the parietal peritoneum, which provides evidences for hypoperfusion of the organs of the abdominal cavity. Such changes can cause early postoperative complications in the organs of the abdominal cavity.

The prevention of periodontal inflammationin the treatment of acute focal pulpitis
Abstract
The author of this article uses a new method of treatment of acute focal pulpitis, which includes pulp treatment with medicines containing hydroxyapatite bioceramics or tricalcium-phosphate as a prophylactic remedy for the inflammation of periodontal tissues. It helps to develop more efficient biological methods of treatment. This investigation shows the high efficiency of medicines containing hydroxyapatite bioceramics and tricalcium-phosphate for the prevention of periodontal inflammation in case of acute focal pulpitis treatment.

The changes of immune homeostasis at patientswith gastroesophageal reflux disease and Barrett'sEsophagus
Abstract
The purpose of the research was the study of cellular immune status and serum cytokines at patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and Barrett's esophagus. We have studied 70 patients with erosive GERD and 42 patients with Barrett's esophagus. 30 patients with chronic gastritis and 25 healthy subjects comprised the groups of control. Endoscopy, morphological, immunological methods of research have been used. Distinctions in parameters of cellular immune status and serum level of interleukin-4, interleukin-8, interleukin-10 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha at patients with GERD in dynamics of treatment and patients with Barrett's esophagus were determined.

Clinical and prognostic importance of changesin the intestinal mucosa at patients with chroniccholecystitis
Abstract
The frequency of clinical symptoms of intestinal dysfunction and endoscopic picture at patients with a chronic cholecystitis were determined. It was shown that in 30,6 % patients with chronic noncalculous cholecystitis and in 92,5 % with chronic calculous cholecystitis the chronic colitis is registered. It was demonstrated that decreased number of motilin- and substance P-producing cells in the small and large intestine and bacterial overgrowth are risk factors of cholelithiasis.

The prognosis of the bronchial asthma in childrenwith atopic dermatitis
Abstract
The mathematical model for prognosis of bronchial asthma in 147 children of 3-5 yrs suffering from atopic dermatitis has been worked using the data of anamnesis, standard allergic examination and tests of bronchial hyperreactivity. It helps to prognose the development of the bronchial asthma in 75,8% of cases.

A novel method of immunostimulation in postpartumendometritis
Abstract
For the first time a new Russian drug Dibicor was used to improve the effect of postpartum endometritis treatment. Clinical researches and the results of the immune tests prove its high immunopotentiating activity. Its use results in milder clinical course of postpartum endometritis and reduced duration of postpartum hospital stay.

Comparison of cytokine-inducing Activity of Different Types of Burkholderia's Antigens
Abstract
The purpose of this work was to study the cytokinе-inducing activity of antigens of the melioidosis agent (Burkholderia pseudomallei) and its nonpathogenic type (Burkholderia thailandensis). In experiments in vitro on BALB/c mice macrophages and lymphocytes induced by water-salt extracts of Burkholdeias the activity of lymphokines and monokines was studied. The interrelation between the protective properties of Burkholderia's antigens and some parameters of its cytokin-inducing activity (the level of expression of Fc-receptors on neutrophils, phagocytic activity of macrophages and cytotoxic activity of TNF-α for mice fibroblasts L-929) was shown.

Treatment of acute rejection after kidney transplantation using poly- and monoclonal antibodies against human lymphocytes
Abstract
Comparative evaluation of administration of poly- and monoclonal antilymphocytic antibodies in the treatment of acute rejection of a kidney transplant was carried out. High effectiveness of antilymphocytic antibodies in the treatment of acute rejection was revealed. The highest one-year durability of transplants is registered when monoclonal human anti-CD3-antibodies are administered.

Mineral density of the bone tissue in diabetes mellitus type I with various duration and level of carbohydrate metabolism compensation
Abstract
To maintain the normal bone density in patients with diabetes mellitus I type, it is necessary to monitor
the compensation of carbohydrate metabolism and select the agents, improving the structure of the bone, from the onset of the of disease.

The effect of ferulic acid and phenibuton the contractility of the myocardium in acutealcoholic intoxication
Abstract
The study revealed the cardiotoxic effect of 32 % ethanol solution in a dose of 8 g/kg after single intraperitoneal administration, which manifested itself as a reduction of inotropic resources of the heart when going through functional tests. The research showed that phenibut (50mg/kg) and ferulic acid (30 mg/kg) administered separately according to the following pattern (phenibut 25mg/kg+ ferulic acid 15 mg/kg) prevent the harmful effect of alcohol on the heart, increasing contractility of the myocardium.
The protective effect of the agents is ascribed to their antioxidant properties which are of great importance for preventing any damage of cardimyocyte and their mitochondria membranes.

Cytokine status disturbances in acute brain ischemiaand its correction with phlogenzyme
Abstract
Examination of 63 patients with discirculatory encephalopathy of the 1st and 2nd stages and 69 patients in acute period of ischemic insult revealed such disturbances of cytokine status as the growth of TNF-α, IL-4, IL-1-β, IL-1-Ra amount in the blood serum of the patients. Treatment with multienzyme drug Phlogenzyme added to the traditional therapy led to faster and complete correction of the given disturbances, improved clinical efficiency.

The comparative evaluation of hypo- and antihypertensive effect of different compositions of amlodipine tablets
Abstract
Hypo- and antihypertensive effect of 5 different compositions of amlodipine tablets was studied. The maximal hypotensive effect was displayed by compositions 2 and 4. Their antihypertension effect on rats (SHR) demonstrated high activity which was equivalent to the original drug of Norvasc.

The problem of euthanasia in bioethics and medicineas a precondition of axiomating of culture
Abstract
The article is devoted to a philosophical substantiation of the phenomenon of euthanasia as an interdisciplinary universal cultural problem. Being related to the sphere of medicine, the problem of euthanasia is also embedded in broad social and cultural context. Therefore, its solution implies transcending the bioethical approach with its inherent dualism. Moreover, this solution requires to be substantiated bу means of the parameters of mono-cultural axiomatics, whose analogue in medicine is the Hippocratic Oath.
