ANALYSIS OF METHYLATION STATUS ANALYSIS OF RASSF1A, BRCA1, HIN1IN BREAST AND OVARIAN CANCER CELL LINES
Abstract
Several tumor suppressor genes have been found to be hypermethylated in many tumor types, including breast and ovarian cancer but to be unmethylated in normal cells.
Here we have examined by bisulfite sequencing the methylation status of the following tumor-suppressor genes: RASSF1A, BRCA1 and HIN1. For this study we used genomic DNA from five different breast cancer cell lines (MDA231, MDA435, MCF7, T47D, HS-578T) and five different ovarian cancer cell lines (A2780, SKOV3, OVCAR10, OVCAR5, OVCAR3)
as well as from normal tissue.
We found promoter region of RASSF1A and HIN1 to be hypermethylated in several cancer cell lines in both types of cancer. At the same time the promoter region of BRCA1 was unmethylated in all analyzed cancer cell lines.

COMBINED PLASTY OF DEFECTS OF CRANIAL VAULT IN COMPLEX TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH LOCALLY-ADVANCED SKIN CANCER
Abstract
Combined reparative surgery is most acceptable in view of its relative simplicity and convenience in replacement of anatomically complex and very extensive defects of skin occurring after excision of advanced tumours of the scalp. We have
applied this method when all other plastic operations failed, in cases of extensive skin lesions with infiltration of underlying
tissues, i.e. in cases presenting technical limit of possible excision.
Complete engraftment in combined plastic surgery is possible even in cases of vast excision of tumour with ablation
of underlying bone.

MONITORING, PROGNOSIS AND NEW TECHNOLOGY IN SURGICAL TREATMENT OF ULCER DISEASE
Abstract
15-40 % of patients subjected to stomach resection have the postgastroresectional syndrome (dumping-syndrome, reflux-gastritis etc.). To determine the risk of dumping-syndrome in the preoperative period prognostic estimations were
used, and a way of stomach resection with creation of a valve in closed apparatus of its stump was proposed, which
enables one to reduce the rate of development of postgastroresectional syndrome.

DISTRIBUTION OF CELLULAR ELEMENTS IN COMPLETEPERITONEAL ADHESIONS OF EPIGASTRIUM
Abstract
A variety of cellular content and of its distribution was established on morphological analysis of complete peritoneal
adhesion of epigastrium which had been dissected during cholesystectomy. These differences heavily d epended on attachment place of adhesions. The tissue in adhesion to gallbladder has relatively much mesothelium and endoteliocytes
in comparison with macrophages. The adhesions to liver contained a lot of macrophages and mesothelium, but they were
poorly vascularized. The adhesions to duodenum were enriched by endothelium, but few macrophages or mesothelium.
Omental adhesions had many macrophages and endothelium, but little mesothelium.
These data may particularly explain the differences in dynamics of adhesive process in epigastrium, and their probable
sensitivity to prevention and treatment.

EFFECT OF CARDIOSELECTIVITY AND INTRINSIC SYMPATHOMIMETIC ACTIVITY OF BETA-ADRENORECEPTOR BLOCKERS ON HEART RATE VARIABILITY IN WAKING AND NARCOTIZED RATS
Abstract
In narcotized and waking immobilized rats β-adrenoreceptor blockers led to an increase in the total heart rate variability, adaptation capability; they enhanced parasympathetic activity and decreased the sympathetic one. Increase in LF power in waking immobilized rats in the presence of β-adrenoreceptor blockers requires a comprehensive study to define more
precisely the physiological role of this parameter. Among three β-adrenoreceptor blockers pindolol demonstrated the least
activity compared to preparations without intrinsic sympathomimetic activity such as propranolol (most pronounced effect in narcotized rats) and bisoprolol (more effective in waking immobilized rats).

CLINICOPATHOGENETIC IMPORTANCE OF ANALYSIS OF PURINE METABOLISM ENZYME ACTIVITY IN LYMPHOCYTE LYSATES AND ERYTHROCYTES OF PATIENTS WITH OSTEOARTROSIS
Abstract
Activities of adenosine deaminase (ADA), adenosine monophosphate deaminase (AMPHDA) and adenin deaminase
(AD) were determined depending on clinical features of the disease in lyzates of lymphocytes and erythrocytes in blood of 52 patients with ostheoarthrosis. The results of the investigation demonstrated that the greatest changes in enzymatic
activity were observed in patients with synovitis and a high degree of functional insufficiency of the joints. A severe course of the disease was accompained by a considerable reduction of the activity of ADA in lymphocytes and a high activity of ADA, AMPHDA and AD in erythrocytes. Investigation of enzymatic activity promoted the control of objectivity and effectiveness of treatment.

NEUROINFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES USED IN CHRONIC OPISTHORCHOSIS DIAGNOSTICS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE LIFE QUALITY
Abstract
At present the incidence rate of chronic opisthorchosis among the able-bodied population is gaining a socio-economic
character. Despite successful diagnostics of this condition, the problem perseveres and requires development and implementation of new, more precise and economic diagnostic methods, which help to identify an early invasion. This
paper describes a new method of opisthorchosis invasion detection based on using neuronetwork techno logies. The analysis of the endoscopic view of upper gastrointestinal pathological changes yielded typical endoscopic criteria of chronic
opisthorchosis. A new neuronetwork computer program was developed in accordance with these factors. This program is easy to use, economic and more effective than present screening tests.

EFFECT OF SOME NEUROTROPIC SUBSTANCES ON OXYGEN CONSUMPTION IN MITOCHONDRIA OF RAT BRAIN
Abstract
It was estimated by polarographic measurement of oxygen consumption in rat brain mitochondria that a new substance
IBCP-2 (in about a half of all cases), mexidol and amtizol succinate can nearly equally increase oxygen consumption. Other
new substances IBCP-1 and IBCP-3 as well as amtizol and emoxipin, have no such ability. Unlike preparations including
succinate (mexidol and amtizol succinate), IBCP-2 stimulates mitochondrial respiration by way of complex I.

USE OF TRANSVAGINAL COLOR DOPPLER ULTRASOUND FOR PRENATALDIAGNOSIS OF VASA PREVIA
Abstract
Vasa previa is a condition in which the intramembranous fetal blood vessels cross the internal os. Fetal mortality is high because of the hemorrhage that occurs when these vessels are torn during labor, delivery or when the amniofetal
membranes rupture. Reduction in perinatal mortality from this condition depends on its prenatal diagnosis. А first case of color Doppler endovaginal prenatal ultrasound diagnosis of vasa previa in Russia is presented.

EARLY RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS: CONCEPT OF EARLY DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT
Abstract
This review provides novel information on pathogenesis, clinical characteristics, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches
to early rheumatoid arthritis. TA possibility of affecting the natural course of this disease using early, aggressive disease-modifying
antirheumatic therapy is discussed. Rapid and sustained disease control with biologics was shown in recent
placebo-controlled studies. The novel original preparations containing ultra-low doses of antibodies against tumor necrosis
factor-a (TNF-a) and interferon-g (INF-g) were approved for rheumatoid arthritis treatment. Our previous investigations have
confirmed good efficacy and safety of ultra-low anti-TNF-a preparation (artrofoon) and its combination with ultra-low anti-INF-g (anaferon) in long-term rheumatoid arthritis therapy. The possibility of preventing disease progression prevention
using these drugs in early rheumatoid arthritis should be assessed.
