INTERNET OF THINGS: OVERVIEW OF REFERENCE ARCHITECTURAL MODELS

Abstract

For the Internet of Things to function, the it must connect billions or trillions of different objects over the Internet and other networks using different protocols and technologies. Thus, there is a critical need for a universal, flexible and multi-layered architecture. Currently, there is no single architectural reference model. Its creation is not an easy task despite many standardization efforts. The main challenge in creating an architectural reference model is the natural fragmentation of possible applications for IoT technologies. Each of the applications depends on many variables and requirements for the design characteristics and the wishes of the customer, and they often differ dramatically. In addition, there is another problem connected with the tendency of each supplier or manufacturer to offer their platform and solutions for similar applications of IoT technology. This article analyzes several approaches to creating reference architecture models that may prove useful in the ongoing standardization process for IoT technologies.

INVESTIGATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF COMMUNICATION CHANNELS ON THE QUALITY OF VIDEOCONFERENCING

Abstract

The year 2020 was a turning point not only in everyday life, but also in the communications area. The opinion about the videoconferencing industry has changed significantly, because meetings, online training, consultations, consultations and much more would not be able to take place now without the videoconferencing. In this regard, the needs for better provision of these services are growing: the equipment for transmitting information is being improved, the volume of resources is increasing, the requirements for information protection and access to personal data are increasing. It can be argued that the prospects of videoconferencing are obvious, important and relevant. Speaking about research in this area, the influence of technical characteristics in the data transmission network on the quality of services provided is an important issue for providing this type of solutions. A decrease in the parameters of communication channels leads to degradation of the video and audio track, as well as various negative effects. Such effects include lagging of the audio track from the video sequence, as well as its stuttering, a decrease in the quality of the video sequence or its complete loss for a certain time.

THE APPLICATION OF MATHEMATICAL PROGRAMMING FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF DESIGNING THE PROTECTION SYSTEM OF THE OBJECT OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Abstract

The possibility and practicability of using integer mathematical programming for solving problems of designing an information protection system for an object of a critical information infrastructure and placing protection tools on the components of this object is investigated. A mathematical model was developed, in which, based on FSTEC order No. 239, sets of measures are formed for each component of the object of a critical information infrastructure, which must be performed, and for each protection tool, sets of measures that are performed by them. In the mathematical model, constraints are set, according to which each measure that is relevant for each component of the object’s network must be performed by at least one mean of protection that is installed on this component. In addition, resource limits are set - the amount of RAM and disk space. The objective function of the model comes down to minimizing the cost of security tools while implementing all security measures for all components of the object. The mathematical model was implemented in Python 3.6 using the Docplex library. The results of the computational experiment indicate that the proposed method allows to obtain a set of protection tools that fully fulfill the necessary measures with minimizing costs, that is, optimal.

ADAPTATION OF MECHANISMS OF ARTIFICIAL IMMUNE SYSTEMS FOR COOPERATIVE RESISTANCE TO THREATS OF INTRUSION INTO AUTONOMOUS INFORMATION AND TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITIES

Abstract

In this paper, the authors continue their research on the adaptation of the mechanisms of artificial immune systems by modifying classical mathematical models in accordance with the specifics of artificial immune systems, which allowed them to significantly increase their effectiveness in predicting the state of the object of control - solving the identification problem, which consists in finding the capacities of the sources of resource degradation (virus attack) of an autonomous information and telecommunications system according to available experimental data. The paper proposes models of cooperative interaction of several autonomous information and telecommunication systems, the protection of which is built on the basis of artificial immune systems. It is well-known that nowadays many methods based on the principles of immunology are expanding, and artificial immune systems are of the greatest interest among researchers due to the properties of special mechanisms of memory, search, recognition, adaptation, etc. The paper for the first time suggests the use of mechanisms for the transfer of antiviral databases between the artificial immune system of the donor and the artificial immune system of the acceptor. The results of a computational experiment are obtained, indicating the potential effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

MULTI-STEP THROUGHPUT PREDICTION OF 5G FR2 MOBILE CHANNELS

Abstract

For all advantages of 5G mobile networks the new millimeter frequency band FR2 needs to be deployed. It has not yet been used for mobile services. The deployment of the FR2 band allows for the maximum speeds of 5G mobile channels but their throughput can wildly fluctuate over time. Some mobile applications, such as ultra high-definition video streaming, need to adapt for varying channel speeds on long time intervals. This adaptation can be realized with a multi-step throughput prediction of 5G mobile channels based on the previous measurements and some external factors. This paper explores the multi-step throughput prediction of 5G FR2 channels with an application of a wide range of machine learning methods.

ASPECTS OF MICROSERVICES COMMUNICATION WHEN USING SAGA TEMPLATE

Abstract

Microservices architectural pattern «saga» is a common approach that addresses the problem of eventual consistency in modern back-end cloud solutions. However, sagas approach does not define a fault tolerant way of solving the data consistency problem of distributed systems that can lead to business data inconsistency. In this paper we analysed a number of scientific publications in order to determine the most common ways of sagas definition from the cross-service communication point of view. The defined set of communication protocols was split on client-server protocols and message queues. For them we collected potential pitfalls of data consistency guarantee as well as ways to provide fault tolerance in these environments. It was shown how to adopt these protocols for both synchronous and asynchronous communication approaches in sagas. The applicability of CQRS and DQL in communication within saga was also studied in the paper.

Abstract

Modern digital technologies make it possible to organize effective process management in the information circuits of industrial enterprises. At the same time, there are various control and monitoring systems for the computer nodes themselves. Based on such systems, it is possible to build models, and then, based on the results of modeling, to establish an effective mode of operation on a computer node. An approach to managing a computer node based on the use of statistical modeling of Ito processes is proposed. This approach allows you to simulate a computer node in time, and, depending on the results of resource consumption by the node, set the most appropriate operating mode on the node, taking into account the expert’s decision.

Abstract

This research paper considered the possibilities of using predictive analytics in the FMCG market to increase business process efficiency, in particular in the field of demand forecasting. The existing business processes in FMCG companies were considered as well as existing tools for sales forecasting such as SAP, RapidMiner, Azure ML Studio, SPSS and others. As an illustrative example of FMCG business process data collection and analytics, the data on the sales of the key customer of the company from the tobacco industry was analyzed and several regression models of sales forecasting were created on the basis of the use of the Azure ML Studio toolset.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM OF THE CONVEYOR-TELETRAFIC ANALYSIS (ASKAT)

Abstract

This article deals with the probabilistic test criteria of an information-diagnostic system. Probabilistic test criteria for an information and diagnostic system aimed at studying a patient’s condition are considered. The system contains a diagnostic object (patient) and diagnostic tools. The diagnostic system implements some diagnostic algorithm that specifies the sequence and method of analysis of examination results. The purpose of analyzing the results of elementary tests is to determine the diagnosable condition in which the patient really is. This paper covers such sections as probabilistic diagnosis of a patient’s condition; conditional probability matrix; states; scale of states; elementary checks; conditional probabilities. All data for each section is summarized in a table for visualization. The conclusion is made on the basis of the analysis, which allows evaluating the effectiveness of the application of this diagnostic system.

EVALUATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ACTIVITY OF MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS ON THE BASIS OF A BALANCED SYSTEM OF INDICATORS

Abstract

The article considers the relevance of conducting research to assess the effectiveness of medical institutions in the conditions of digitalization. Currently, an increasing number of medical institutions with a fixed budget are interested in implementing effective management methods to achieve their goals. One of such management techniques, which have well proven their effectiveness in practice, is the system of balanced indicators (SSP, Balanced ScoreCard, BSC). The objective of the work is to study the issues of the use of SSP in the management of medical and preventive institutions (health facilities) and to identify the most indicative indicators that assess the achievement of goals. In the course of the study, the methods of evaluating the effectiveness of medical organizations established in different subjects of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign experience, were studied. The existing reporting of state medical institutions differs, since in each subject of the Russian Federation, the executive body in the field of healthcare sets indicators for subordinate organizations, taking into account the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. This complicates the process of complex determination of the results of the work of the medical organization for the reporting period. The paper proposes a set of universal indicators based on the SSP, allowing for linking the medical effectiveness of activities with the achievement of economic performance indicators.

APPLICATION OF MODERN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE POWER AND EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF THE EMERCOM OF RUSSIA

Abstract

The work is devoted to the application of modern information technologies in the control system of forces and means of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia. Using the Google Earth interface with integrated data from the MapInfo program, it is possible to track and coordinate the forces and assets of rescue units to the scene in real time. The complementary interface includes a set of systems analysis, the use of digital models and video-like data, and an integrated approach to decision making. An additional interface can work successfully during a fire hazardous season, through visualization, which makes it possible to predict the territory of the likely development of fires.

PARAMETRICAL SYNTHESIS OF RADIO DEVICES WITH THE SET QUANTITY OF UNEQUAL CASCADES FOR VARIANTS OF INCLUSION OF JET TWO-PORT NETWORKS BETWEEN A SOURCE OF A SIGNAL AND A NONLINEAR PART

Abstract

The algorithm of parametrical synthesis of various radio devices with any quantity of unequal cascades of type «the jet two-port network - a nonlinear part» by criterion of maintenance of the set frequency characteristics is developed. Nonlinear parts are presented in the form of a nonlinear element and parallel either consecutive on a current or pressure of a feedback. According to this criterion systems of the algebraic equations are generated and solved. Models of optimum two-port networks of one of cascades in the form of mathematical expressions for definition of interrelations between elements of their classical matrix of transfer and for search of restrictions in the form of dependences of resistance of two two-poles of one of cascades on frequency are as a result received. Parameters of other two- poles of all cascades are defined by means of numerical methods of optimization with the account of these restrictions. Thus optimization time is reduced in hundreds of times in comparison with time of optimization with the help only numerical methods. It is connected by that at use of restrictions received thus on each step of optimization, including the first, on the set quantity of frequencies coincidence of real values of transfer function to the set is provided. It is spent mathematical and modelling of multi-cascade amplifiers. It is shown, that the increase in quantity of cascades leads to substantial growth of product of factor of strengthening by a working strip of frequencies. The area of strengthening with growth of number of cascades increases and asymptotically aspires to the certain limit approximately equal 17000 MHz. Optimum quantity of cascades equally six. The further increase in number of cascades is inexpedient, as leads to scheme complication, and product of factor of strengthening on a strip of frequencies practically does not increase. The comparative analysis of the theoretical results received by mathematical modelling in system «MathCad», and the experimental results received by modelling in systems «OrCad» and «MicroCap», shows their satisfactory coincidence.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the issue related to the need to apply information and computer technology and the search for theoretical substantiation of the effectiveness of their application in foreign language classes. The relevance of the selected topic for the study is due to the search for modern and effective forms and methods for training in foreign languages, along with information and computer progress in the field of higher education. Informatization of education, in particular the highest, one of the primary tasks and dictated a new educational paradigm to pedagogical needs. In the article, we define and analyze the advantages of the modern method of learning and consider the effectiveness of the application of information and computer technologies in a foreign language classes. Unconventional forms of training with the use of information and computer technologies help the teacher to implement a number of training functions; students develop research skills, increase the motivation to the study of foreign languages, develop the skills of independent work with authentic material. The article focuses on theoretical basics of using information technologies in the process of learning foreign languages. We offer training foreign languages based on the leading modality of perception of students: visual learners, audio learners, kinesthetic learners and discretionary learners. This method involves a personal-oriented approach in training, and in connection with this, the article provides a detailed description of each type of information perception by students in order to efficiently teach foreign language in non-language universities. The article also gives an assessment of the usefulness of application of IT when teaching foreign languages.

VIRTUAL RECONSTRUCTION OF THE HISTORICAL FORTRESS OF SAMARA USING 3D MODELING

Abstract

This article is devoted to the creation of a virtual 3D-museum dedicated to the historical part of the city of Samara, specifically the visualization of the Samara Fortress, built in 1586 on the territory of the modern Samara valve factory, and to the south of it, that is, towards the Samara River. First, the basics of 3D-modeling are considered, a historical description of the Samara fortress is given, an overview of the development environment is provided, followed by a detailed step-by-step description of how to perform the work with all the steps taken. The practical part is illustrations (screenshots) of the project made in the KOMPAS-3D 3D-modeling environment. This work is certainly relevant and has practical value. Its relevance is due to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 203 of May 9, 2017 «On the Strategy for the development of the Information Society in the Russian Federation for 2017-2030». It is also worth noting that this project can find practical application in the form of developing a museum for conducting virtual excursions around historical Samara. The conclusion is made on the basis of the analysis of the work done, which allows you to assess the effectiveness of its application in reality.
