Abstract

In a series of events in the creative life of VGIK it is worth highlighting two – the 10th International summer film school of VGIK in Krasnodar, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the University, and-screenings of Iranian films in the framework of "Days of culture of Iran in Russia" in the walls of VGIK. These events reveal the facets of international cooperation of the University, testify to its organizational and creative potential, limitless humanistic possibilities inherent in the film and screen arts.

In a series of events in the creative life of VGIK, it is worth highlighting two-the 10th International summer film school of VGIK in Krasnodar, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the University, and-screenings of Iranian films in the framework of "Days of the culture of Iran in Russia" in the walls of VGIK. These events reveal the facets of international cooperation of the University, testify to its organizational and creative potential, limitless humanistic possibilities inherent in the film and screen arts. International summer film school VGIK, the project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of the culture of the Russian Federation, is well known outside Russia.

Its goal is to establish links with students of film schools in Europe and the CIS. But not only that. It is also a training skill in the field of documentary, fiction, television and animated films, exchange of experience and creative vision in modern cinema. Over the years, the film school was attended by about 300 future filmmakers from 34 countries. The 10th-anniversary film school brought together students from Australia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Slovakia, Chile, and Belarus. The program in Krasnodar was Packed with events, seminars, workshops, exercises at the shooting carried out by the European and Russian filmmakers. Participants of the film school recognized this project as unique. A significant event was the visit of a delegation of Iranian filmmakers and representatives of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia. Rector of VGIK V. S. Malyshev and cultural Adviser, head of the Cultural center at the Iranian Embassy in Moscow Kahramon Suleimani stressed the importance of developing ties in the field of cinematography and educational institutions. V. S. Malyshev noted the ability of Iranian cinematography to combine humanistic ideas with professional skills and the fact that for many Iranian students VGIK became an Alma mater. Young Iranians are still studying at the faculties of directing, screenwriting and film studies, animation, and multimedia, Higher courses of film and television at VGIK. The University is ready to expand the list of Iranian students, a fruitful form of cooperation will be participating in the international student film festival of VGIK, the International summer film school of VGIK. The screening of Iranian films gathered a large number of participants in the VGIK cinema hall. Of particular interest was the film "Breath" directed by Narges Abyar with actress Panthea Panahiha, which received many prizes at international film festivals.
