“HOLZWEGE”: OR, BACK TO THE SOURCES

Tajsina E.A.

Abstract

The author sets creation of a new theory of knowledge as the main goal of this paper and other treatises on gnoseology. This theory called existential materialism would take into account the achievements of the last decades, both philosophical and scientific, and other general cultural events, while remaining true to many classical principles - aiming at the solution of the several key gnoseological problems. Anticipating the solution of the central problem of any cognition theory - the problem of truth - we will once again establish fundamental gnoseological postulates, namely, those of reflection principle and unity of being and cognition. The latter is denoted by us as “Dabewußtsein”: Dasein+Bewußtsein. The main question of all philosophy is the “scandalous” problem of essence; in gnoseology, though, it is transcribed as the problem of truth its localization, nature and origin. Our works are intended to solve this problem in the end.

METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO THE DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURES OF REGIONAL IDENTITY

Tsvetkova I.V.

Abstract

The article analyzes the approaches to the theoretical understanding of the concept of "regional identity". It is concluded that the traditional interpretation of this category is associated with the structural and functional approach. This approach considers regional identity as a result of individual socialization. In this process, the individual learns local culture characteristics that contribute to local community adaptation. It is noted that the lack of structural functionalism is the inability to explain the dynamic processes, in particular, migration. Constructivist approach considers regional identity on the basis of individual activity, selfdetermination freedom. From the standpoint of social constructivism, the structures of regional identity include not only the influence of local culture and lifestyle. External information flows are of great importance. It is concluded that structures of regional identity can be "harmonious" or "disharmonious". These models are determined by the coincidence of external and internal stereotypes or contradictions between them.

OVERCOMING PRESENTISM: MICHAEL OAKESHOTT’S PHILOSOPHICAL-HISTORICAL CONCEPT

Demin I.V.

Abstract

The paper analyses the philosophical and historical concept by Michael Oakeshott . The question of the relationship between historical, practical, contemplative, aesthetic, and scientific ways of understanding the past is explored. The special attention is paid to clarifying the place of Oakeshott ’s concept in the context of nonclassical philosophy of history and theory of historiography in the XX century. The Oakeshott ’s point of view can be considered as a productive alternative to the pragmatic and aesthetic interpretations of historical experience and historical writing. Some contradictions in the interpretation of historiography and historical knowledge proposed by Oakeshott are identified. It is shown that in Oakeshott’s works the historian activities description and historical relations to the past are mainly of apophatic nature. The novelty of this interpretation of history writing in Oakeshott’s concept is that history is regarded as a special form of experience, which is reduced neither to action nor to aesthetic contemplation

MODES OF MODERN RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY: BETWEEN MANAGER AND HOMOSPHERE

Naumova O.S.

Abstract

The discourse around the university as a sociocultural phenomenon has recently generated new designations, concepts and meanings: managerialism, acade 107 mism, homosphere, innovation projects, priority of civilization vectors, and youth socialization, etc. However, the most heated debates are caused by the language of competences and managerial verbalization. These new university modes are considered as a reliable springboard for getting into the world rankings, which within the framework of this system are, in fact, a market product. However, the accepted signs and meanings of managerial ratings do not include such important humanitarian factors as the cityforming role of the university, contributing to the formation of a fullfledged human personality (and therefore the urban and regional society), as well as the attractiveness and reputation of the university at the global and regional levels. The managerialism emasculates the humanitarian motivation of scientific creativity, which for centuries stimulated scientists and changed civilization practices. Obviously, the absence of such freedom, recorded in new concepts and evaluations of modern universities, on the one hand, and on the other, ignoring humanitarian incentives reduces the status of the domestic faculty, and this leads to losses in the university’s civilizational and institutional development.
