Journal strategy

When preparing each issue, members of the editorial Board intend to take into account modern requirements for the order of qualified review, information openness and bibliometric indicators in assessing the publication activity of authors, along with other factors of the journal.

To this end, the editorial team uses rigorous: editorial, expert, and statistical review processes to evaluate manuscripts for scientific accuracy, novelty, and importance; policies and practices that ensure that authors disclose all relevant financial associations and that such associations do not in any way affect the content published by the journal.

When developing the strategy and layout of the publication, we studied and analyzed the professional materials available to us from information resources of publishers and owners of bibliographic and abstract databases-leaders of international citation systems for relevant branches of science and groups of scientific specialties.

In the course of this work, three groups of scientific specialties were identified, which, in our opinion, made it possible to create a publication's rubricator and determine its name: "Pharmacy Formulas". At the same time, we took into account the definition of pharmacy as the entire life cycle of medicines, including the creation, preclinical and clinical research, production technology, organization of pharmaceutical business, as well as issues of control and analytical research, food and environmental safety. In turn, the word "formulas" means directions, trends, trends in the development of scientific and practical areas that make up pharmacy.

We believe that through our efforts, the journal will keep healthcare and pharmaceutical industry professionals at the forefront of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge, help them deepen their understanding of new areas of interest, and provide valuable insights into scientific and practical medical and pharmaceutical activities.

Analysis of the effectiveness of a new antimicrobial agent for disinfection in veterinary practice
Bukovskaya J.A., Chernykh T.F., Zharikov M.V.
Abstract

The loss of effectiveness of standard treatment methods and the increased risk of rapid spread of infections are serious consequences of this problem. This underscores the need to develop new approaches to combating pathogen resistance and ensuring effective control of infections. Studies of antimicrobial activity were conducted on strains of C. albicans, A. niger, and B. subtilis. The minimal fungicidal concentration was determined based on the growth of microorganisms C. albicans, A. niger on Sabouraud agar media containing different concentrations of a new substance - a derivative of thiadiazole. The sporicidal activity was determined by culturing the test culture B. subtilis in meat-peptone broth, followed by seeding on meat-peptone agar. Sporicidal activity was determined by inoculating the test culture of B. subtilis into meat-peptone broth, followed by plating on meat-peptone agar. Control assays were performed by inoculating the test cultures on corresponding media without the test substances. The new disinfectant - a derivative of thiadiazole - demonstrated high antimicrobial activity. The aim of this research was to study the new chemical substance for antimicrobial (antifungal and sporicidal) activity and the creation of new types of biocides. The studies showed that the minimum fungicidal concentration of the 0.3% solution in a 30% alcohol solution against C. albicans RCPGY401 was 1.56 ± 1.06 μg/mL, A. niger 137a - 1.56 ± 1.29 μg/mL. Furthermore, the material exhibited sporicidal activity against B. subtilis ATCC 10702, with an effective concentration of - 3.12 ± 1.34 μg/mL. The research confirms the activity of the new compound against the studied microorganisms and allows for its recommendation for further study (treatment regimens, safety, control methods, etc.) for use in veterinary practice for various treatment purposes.

Abstract

Malignant neoplasms are considered among the most serious and prevalent diseases in many countries worldwide. In the course of our research, we conducted a review where we synthesized findings from five scientific articles providing detailed descriptions of age-related patterns of prevalence, structure, and survival among oncology patients. The final population-based study presents a culmination of all identified characteristics of this process, particularly regarding the role of age in the characteristics of prevalence and survival of cancer patients, which holds significant importance. The study utilized data from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), handbooks from the P.A. Herzen MNIOI and the N.N. Petrov National Medical Research Center of Oncology, as well as data from population-based cancer registries databases from the Saint Petersburg and Northwestern Federal District of Russia. Data processing was conducted using licensed software MS Excel 2013-2016 and STATISTICA 6.1. Modified Eurocare software, alongside mathematical, bibliographic, and statistical methods, was employed for survival calculations. The population-based study allowed for a detailed examination of the dynamics of age-specific indicators of morbidity, mortality, quality of initial patient management for MN, and survival rates of MN patients, consolidating vast datasets from across Russia and the Northwestern Federal District of Russia. All gathered and analyzed data indicate an enhancement in the quality of initial patient management for MN, a reduction in mortality rates, and an increase in survival rates.
