RESISTANT ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION: DIFFERENTIAL APPROACH TO THERAPY

Chernyavskaya T., Zadionchenko V., Danilova N., Grineva I.

Abstract

The larger number of used drugs, the more complexity of a treatment regimen, and the higher cost of treatment usually deteriorate its adherence in hypertensive patients. Therefore, one must try to maximally simplify the treatment regimen. Thus, preference should be given to long-acting agents for the number of used drugs and their administration frequency to be reduced, as well as to fixed-dose antihypertensive drug combinations.

EVALUATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF COMBINED PHARMACOTHERAPY

Astapova O., Syubaev R., Zhuravleva M., Sychev D., Engalycheva G., Vasilyev A.

Abstract

The efficiency of combined pharmacotherapies was evaluated in rheumatic patients, by comparing the quantitative parameters of prediction of expected and potential drug interactions. The specific risk factors of potential drug interactions were assessed from the number of drugs that affected common pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetic targets. The quantitative parameters of the nonspecific risk factors characterizing the total number of concurrently used drugs, their doses, and therapeutic range were obtained.

Belyaeva E.

Abstract

The paper gives the results of a comparative controlled trial of topical Chondroxide® Maximum cream and intramuscular Alflutop solution used in patients with knee osteoarthrosis (OA). Analysis of the WOMAC index has shown the most dynamic pain response comparable for both test agents. The transdermal glucosamine complex Chondroxide® Maximum has proved to exert a symptom-modifying effect. The good tolerability and safe of the cream may be recommended for the combination therapy of OA.

DIAGNOSTIC ROLE OF ULTRASOUND STUDY IN RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Sotnikova E., Muchnik M.

Abstract

Ultrasound study (USS) (sonography) is a simple, non-invasive technique of investigating the locomotor apparatus, which enjoys wide application when examining children and adolescents as it is not associated with the use of ionizing radiation that is harmful to the growing organism. At the present stage, sonography is a practically compulsory study in the examination of patients with joint inflammatory lesions and in the monitoring of their treatment results, including those in rheumatoid arthritis. USS enables one to visualize a minimum of joint effusion, to detail the magnitude of changes in the synovial membrane, and to diagnose tendon pathology.

OSTEOARTHROSIS IN PATIENTS WITH JOINT HYPERMOBILITY: SEVERITY AND RISK SIMULATION

Viktorova I., Konshu N., Kiseleva D.

Abstract

The urgency of the problem with joint hypermobility (JHM) and its closely related JHM syndrome is determined not only by the prevalence of JHM among the able-bodied population, but also by the high risk of early osteoarthrosis (OA). The family pattern of JHM has been established, suggesting its genetic nature. An OA risk prediction model has been proposed to identify a high-risk group of patients with JHM and to implement early preventive measures in them.

CONFOCAL LASER ENDOMICROSCOPY IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF BILE DUCT DISEASES

Shablovsky O., Sazonov D., Ivanov Y., Panchenkov D., Danilevskaya O., Zabozlaev F.

Abstract

The paper describes clinical cases of bile duct diseases (including cholangiocarcinoma) resulting from chronic pancreatobiliary diseases. Probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (PCLE) was first used to diagnose this pathology, which could specify and verify the diagnosis. The authors conjecture that PCLE can be of critical importance in the diagnosis of pancreatobiliary diseases if other techniques are ineffective or low informative.

HEALTH CARE LOANS IN RUSSIAN FEDERATION: SITUATION ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS

Syrtsova L., Matytsin N.

Abstract

Medical goods and services crediting is gradually increasing in the Russian Federation under market economy conditions. Health care loans do not conflict with the current legal frame work and could promote an increase in accessibility and public demand for paid medical services. Both for banks and for medical organizations (private and public) high-interest and profitable lending programs could be generated based on the analysis of international experience and of the Russian market of paid medical services.
