LASSARD: Synergy of Resources and Properly Working People
Abstract

Laser thermohardening and die recovery (including large-sized ones) using a mobile laser robot
Abstract
The article presents a mobile laser robot MEL-3.0 for laser thermohardening and build-up of a wide range of products, equipped with a diode laser. The robot was developed by TermoLazer LLC. The examples of stamping die thermohardening and their restoration at some enterprises are given. The capabilities of a mobile robotic laser tool and some issues of its application in relation to the large-sized items, including directly at the operating site, are discussed.
Increasing the operational life of chisel steels in the case of laser hardening
Abstract
The paper examines the results of micrographic and tribotechnical tests of chisel steel X12 in a friction pair with the through hardened steel 40X when lubricated with the industrial oil I20. It is shown that the use of lateral oscillations of the laser beam significantly increases the processing productivity. It has been established that the high-quality laser thermohardening of sample edges is possible only by applying lateral oscillations of the beam when exposed to the continuous laser radiation. In the case of optimal laser processing conditions and hardening of 50% of the sample friction surface, the wear resistance properties have been increased by 1.6 times compared to the through hardening.

Domestic photonics market
Abstract
A little more than a month has passed since closure of the exhibition “Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics 2024” during which the accompanying business program aroused rather similar great interest. “When face to face we cannot see the face: we should step back for better observation…”. At present, it is possible to take a look at the domestic photonics market, draw some conclusions, albeit superficial ones, about the state of the optoelectronic industry, laser machine tool engineering, laser equipment production, and pull back the curtain on the photonics industry products in China.
Achievements and perspectives of luminescence at the all-russian conference with international participation LUMOS-2024
Abstract
The All-Russian conference with international participation LUMOS-2024, dedicated to the theoretical and practical aspects of the luminescence phenomenon (https://lumos-2024.ru/), was held in Moscow. The main organizer of the event was the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Materials Sciences of Lomonosov Moscow State University with the active participation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

Experimental study and modeling of high-frequency performances of Ge-photodiode for microwave optical receiver integrated circuits
Abstract
A technique and setup for the probe measurement of high-frequency performances of integrated Ge-photodiode are considered accounting for the diode’s actual environment in a photonic (PIC) or electronic-photonic (EPIC) integrated circuit. The key feature of the technique is the application of two coherent laser optical sources with different wavelengths. The measured data are presented for the optoelectronic conversion coefficient of a Ge photodiode in a specially designed measuring (test) PIC based on the electronic-photonic SiGe BiCMOS technology. At the wavelength of 1 550 nm, the frequency band of the Ge photodiode reaches ~30 GHz that makes it possible to use it as a part of integrated optical receivers with a data transmission rate of at least 25 Gbit / s. Using the electromagnetic simulation, a low-signal equivalent circuit model of a Ge-photodiode placed in the PIC (EPIC) is developed allowing the calculation of characteristics of a monolithically integrated optical receiver.

The effect of substrate temperature on the optical properties of GaSe thin films obtained by PECVD
Abstract
GaSe thin films were first obtained by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD), where high-purity elemental gallium and selenium were used as starting materials. The interaction between the elements was initiated by HF discharge (40.68 MHz) at a reduced pressure of 0.1 Torr. The composition, surface morphology, structural and optical properties of gallium selenide films were investigated as a function of substrate temperature. The deposited polycrystalline GaSe films were obtained on sapphire substrate at temperatures of 250 °C and 350 °C, and amorphous GaSe films were obtained at 150 °C.
