Rigid ureterorenoscopy is used for lithotripsy and diagnostics of upper urinary tract diseases. Being widely used in the urology department this method helps to decrease frequency of surgical intervention and in-patient treatment duration.

The paper presents the results of 10-year application of diagnostic laparoscopy in acute appendicitis.

Our objective was to study kidney microcirculation in nephrolithiasis with Laser Doppler flowmetry and morphological investigation. We revealed considerable changes in microcirculation in the renal cortex. Morphological investigations confirmed the data obtained by LDF.

The possibilities of ultrasound investigation in diagnostics of bile hypertension and its development causes were elucidated. It was found that in 92.4 % of cases ultrasound investigation discovers symptoms of bile hypertension. Comparative research have shown appreciable advantage of structurally-resonant electromagnetic therapy (SREMT) inclusion in the complex treatment of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). SREMT promotes normalization of immunological indices of rheumatoid process activity, with a positive influence on anxiety and depressive disturbances in RA patients.

The main purpose of this research was to study the administration of Taurin in complex treatment of Helicobacter pylori- induced chronic gastritis and ulcerous disease of stomach and duodenum. A high effectiveness of Taurin in comparison with placebo on the basis of triple eradication therapy was demonstrated.

This paper reports 4 cases of patients aged 55, 59, 68 and 70 years of age, diagnosed as cases of pilomatricoma. Careful clinical examination, thorough cytologic and histologic investigation and a high index of suspicion results in an accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and the avoidance of unnecessarily extensive surgery.

The paper presents our experience of pulmonary arterial thromboeboly surgical prophylaxis in patients with vein thrombosis treated during the period 2004-007 in the clinic of General Surgery with the course of Urology named after A.A. Polyantsev. If thrombophylic condition in the threatening embolic ileo-caval phlebothrombosis cannot be eliminated, the method of choice in pulmonary arterial thrombosis prophylaxis is plication of the inferior cava vein.

Rectocele is a manifestation of compromised muscles of pelvic diaphragm in women. The main sign of rectocele is defecation difficulty. Rectocele requires a joint examination by a proctologist, gynecologist and urologist for determination of the course of treatment.
