FEATURES OF A MODERN TOWN-PLANNING SITUATION OF INDUSTRIAL TERRITORIES OF THE CITY OF SAMARA
Abstract
This article analyzes the current situation and prospects of development of industrial areas of the city Samara, highlighted problems addressed zones. The article discusses the prospects for the creation of technology parks reserve territories suburb subject of the center of Samara-Togliatti-agglomeration. To identify opportunities for the use of existing industrial sites the author, a table of the main company GO Samara indicating the recommendations of their new uses. In conclusion, the need to optimize the set of industrial areas through the use of new forms of industry or change functionality degraded industrial areas.
WELLS COATES' “ISOKON” REVIVED: A CASE STUDY OF BRITISH CONTEMPORARY BEST PRACTICE IN THE RESTORATION OF MODERNIST ARCHITECTURE
Abstract
This article presents a successful example of the restoration of a building from the 1930s in London – the Isokon apartment building in Hampstead by Wells Coates. The article describes the analysis of the condition of this listed English modernist building and the strategy for its restoration according to the principle of authenticity. The methods deployed to restore the monolithic reinforced concrete structure, the roof and the original interiors to accommodate modern appliances and heating systems are detailed.
NEW TREATMENTS IN URBAN PLANNING
Abstract
This article reviews current treatments and strategies in urban planning as an example of one of the biggest projects of our time. Based on the analysis indentified the basic trends that have affected not only the architecture but also on the organization of modern urban process in general.
INFLUENCE OF THE SOVIET VANGUARD OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN ARCHITECTURE
Abstract
Vanguard are typical for all the transition stages in the history of art culture, certain types of art. In the 20th century. notion of the avant-garde has become the term to refer to a powerful phenomenon of artistic culture that has enveloped her significant events, which have much in common. Vanguard is the reaction of the artistic and aesthetic consciousness on a global, not yet encountered in the history of mankind change in cultural and civilizational process caused by scientific and technological progress (STP) of the last century. The nature and importance to humanity of this process in culture have not yet received adequate scientific and philosophical understanding, but with sufficient detail expressed in the artistic culture in the phenomenon of the avant-garde, modernism, postmodernism.
EVOLUTION OF THE PERIMETER TOWN PLANNING COMPOSITION OF RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN SAMARA
Abstract
The paper analyses the results of one kind of city-planning composition in Samara. The author underlines the main role of the perimeter composition in the city-planning of the historic city. Special features of the given composition in different historic periods of Samara from the first plans till nowadays are described in the paper. The article is illustrated with the examples of perimeter compositions of residential development and the existing morthotypes of city blocks. The author makes the conclusion about the expediency of applying the best traditions of perimeter city-planning.
METHOD OF COMPLEMENTING THE ESTABLISHED SYSTEM OF KINDERGARTENS BY THE EXAMPLE OF SAMARA
Abstract
The article considers the modern structure system of kindergarten at the Samara State region. There was produced resolution of existing building codes for kindergartens. The dependence of the location and type of building from type of the territory were identified. The several areas of modernization of the existing system of pre-school buildings were offered.

Abstract
It is difficult to say who and when the first had an idea to use mechanical systems in the architecture and interior design. Until recently, we could see constructions capable to change its geometric shape only in space and military industries: solar satellites, self-opening tent and life rafts, etc. Understanding that the convertible construction can be the starting element of the architectural object, appeared at the beginning of twentieth century.Schemes of device transformed volumes as many as there are various mechanisms invented by humanity in its history. Therefore, in this area offers an endless field for constructive and architectural work.
COMPOSITION METHOD AS THE EXPERIMENT OF NEW FUNCTION AND NEW LANGUAGE APPEARING
Abstract
The main aim of the composition method is to help the experience of real not imitative “playing behavior” to come into existence. Within the framework of Suprematist Order the Composition Method can play the role of cultural provocation and give the targets of future functionality. The new functionality will lead to the appearing of a new language and the new type of consciousness accordingly. Under the conditions of gradual replacement of Suprematist Order for Spontaneous Order the space as the main target of architecture will acquire at last the natural coincidence of form, behavior and language.
THE PROBLEM OF RECONSTRUCTING THE RESIDENTIAL AREAS OF 1940-1950s
Abstract
The article briefly describes the origin of “Bezymyanka” district, the situation with the residential fund at those times and nowadays. Three types of buildings are shown up and described. The work is not completely finished and most likely it is aimed at drawing more attention the part of the city which not long ago was the alternative centre of Samara and especially to two-storied residential structures built in 1940-1950th.

Abstract
In the article the tracked features of the agglomeration processes in the inter-settlement territories of the cities of Samara and Togliatti. Due to the magnetic attraction between the two major cities is the accelerated development of the various markets and spheres of activity, which are formed on a consolidated basis, generating a positive effect.
DEVELOPING THE STORM SEWAGE AND INDUSTRAL-STORM SEWAGE WASTEWATER PURIFYING SYSTEMS OF LARGE CITIES AND INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The article outlines the basic principles in solving the problems of storm sewage wastewater purifying worked by the author while developing the technologies, equipment and projects which were introduced in Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk and in other cities as well as at Uralmash Plant, Kaminski -Uralsk Metallurgical Plant, Uralsk Turbine Plant and at other large industrial enterprises. The closed design of sewage treatment facilities developed both in the ground and the underground versions; their relative compactness and normative impact on the environment make it possible to construct them practically in any part of the city.
METHOD FOR CHOOSING THE TECHNOLOGY FOR PURIFYING PERIODIC WASTEWATER DISCHARGE
Abstract
It has been found out that for purifying periodic waste-water discharge in Russia and abroad the modular fixed and mobile treatment plants of various types are mainly used. These plants combine the units of mechanical, biochemical and physic-chemical treatment being differed by special features of equipment and constructive design, materials used, power consumption, level of automation. The choice is more often made according to ecology-economic principles.
ASSESSMENT OF PYROGENIC IMPACTS ON FOREST SOILS
Abstract
There are such impacts on forest soils as fires associated with burning out of oil and the use of air-mechanical foam for fire liquidation of oil spills. Assessment of pyrogenic impact on the soil carried out by the method of biotesting.
STEELFIBERCONCRETE IN PRODUCTION OF SMALL-FORMAT FLEXUAL ELEMENTS
Abstract
Reviewed the technical aspects of the use steelfiberconcrete in production of small-format elements bent on the example of the beams of residential and public buildings. Showing the advantage of steelfiberconcrete beams in comparison with standard concrete, due to their high fracture toughness, as well as reducing labor costs in their production due to the exclusion of the transverse and the mounting hardware.
ASSESSMENT OF FIRE RESISTANCE OF MASONRY WALLS AND PARTITIONS OF BUILDINQS
Abstract
Developed a technical solution that relates to the fire safety of buildings and structures. Particularly it can be used for the classification of unreinforced masonry structures of buildings on indicators their resistance to fire. This gives the possibility of reasonable use of the existing masonry structures with the actual fire-resistance rating in buildings of various categories according to their fire hazard.
