Kirik O.V., Sufieva D.A.

Abstract

The aim of the article. The article is devoted to distribution of intermediate filament protein GFAP in ependymocytes lining the third ventricle of rat brain. Materials and Methods. The study was performed on adult male Wistar rats (n=20) , GFAP immunopositive cells were detected by immunocytoche mical reaction. Results. The study demonstrated that in rat brain GFAP is one of cytoskeleton components of the majority of ependymal cells of the third ventricle adjacent to the habenula nuclei and paraventricular nucleus of the thalamus. Conclusion. It was shown that differentiated neurons with set of markers which are not characteristic for mature neurons are present in this region. Thus, the habenula area along with ependymal layer covering it are a special zone that can be considered as possible reserve proliferative zone of the diencephalon.

Abstract

The research objective is comparison of psychoe motional state of patients suffering from disseminated sclerosis that were taking Enterococcus faecium L-3 and patients and that were not taking it. Research materials and methods. For evaluation of psychoe motional state of patients suffering from disse minated sclerosis two groups were created (control group and experimental group), each of the m amounted to 15 persons having definite diagnosis dissminated sclerosis. Standard questionnaires were used («Dominant condition» and «Actual condition» by L.V. Kulikov, questionnaire «Health,activ-ity,mood»,scale of situational (reactive) state anxiety by Ch.D. Spilberger and Yu.L. Khanin, and technique of differential diagnostics of depressive states by V. Zung). Results. After a course of probiotics intake indices at patients of experimental group (р<0.05) have been definitely improved in accordance withscales of the «Dominating state» questionnaire: «Relaxedness - potential stress» , «Evenness - psychic tension» , «Stability - instability of emotional background», «Satisfaction - dissatisfaction withlife in general» and in accordance withthe scale „Evenness - psychictension“ of the „Actual state“ questionnaire. Opinion. Obtained results bear evidence that the course intake of Enterococcus faecium L-3 has positive influence on psychoe motional state of patients having the diagnosis disse minated sclerosis.

Dukhovlinov I.V., Bogomolova E.G., Dobrovolskaya O.V., Fedorova E.A., Klaus A.M., Ishuk C.A., Klimov N.A., Simbirtsev A.S.

Abstract

The aim was to explore the expression of recombinant insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) after intramuscular electroporation of mice with plasmid DNA coding this protein. For this purpose synthetic gene coding IGF-1 was introduced into plasmid pcDNA3, giving pcDNA3igf-1 and Escherichia coli strain E.coli DH10 (pcDNA3igf-1) , the producer of this plasmid , was created. Highly purified plasmid pcDNA3igf-1 was used for intramuscular electroporation with the aid of the electric device designed at the laboratory to generate electric pulses. IGF-1 concentrations in sera were determined by ELISA. Testing several modes of electric pulses had shown that the most effective mode for IGF-1 expression in Balb/c mice in vivo was single pulse of square profile with the amplitude of 160 V and 2 0 milliseconds duration. After intramuscular injection of 5 0 micrograms of pcDNA3igf-1, followed by immediate electric pulse the maximal concentration of IGF-1 in serum increased to 324 ng/ml exceeding the control level 3,44 times and high level of IGF-1 was observed during 7 days after electroporation.

MORPHOFUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ENDOMETRIUM IN WOMEN WITH DISORDERS IN THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

Morotskaya A.V.

Abstract

Objective. Conducting systematic analysis of data on morphofunctional characteristics of the endometrium during the "window of implantation' : in normal and pathological conditions. Materials and methods. The analysis of 59 sources of literature in the electronic databases such as "PubMed", "eLIBRARY", "Doctor's Library' : was performed. Results. Problems of infertility and miscarriage do not lose their relevance and require new solutions. The morphofunctional state of the endometrium is important in the implantation process. Complex of structural and functional characteristics of the endometrium ensuring successful implantation is defined as endometrial receptivity. Endometrial receptivity is generally considered on three levels: genetic, proteomic and histological. In the process of implantation , various molecules are involved, providing a multifactorial "dialogue" : between the endometrium and the blastocyst. Such molecules include cytokines, adhesins, antiadhesins, growth factors, ion channels. The full binding of sex steroids with their receptors in the endometrium leads to its adequate phase transformation. Conclusion. The review presents current knowledge about the importance of molecular factors in the receptivity of the endometrium during implantation.

STRESSORS IN EARLY POSTNATAL PERIOD ABOLISH DEVELOPMENT OF ALCOHOL PREFERENCE IN ADULT FEMALE RATS (POTENTIAL ROLE OF к-OPIOID RECEPTORS)

Mukhin V.N., Kozlov A.P., Abdurasulova I.N., Pavlov K.I., Sizov V.V., Matsulevitch A.V., Klimenko V.M.

Abstract

It is known that stress facilitates desire for alcohol consumption and formation of alcohol dependence in adolescents. Data from the literature suggest that this influence is associated with plastic changes in the dyn-orphin - к-opioid receptors system in the brain. The aim of this study was to compare effects of stressors and к-opioid receptor stimulation during early postnatal development on formation of alcohol dependence in adolescent rats. Male and female rats were subjected to stressors, stimulation of к-opioid receptors or both factors simultaneously. Upon reaching the age of 70-90 days, which corresponds to the adolescent period of human life, the rats were alcoholized. Regardless of the age of exposure, the stressor abolished formation of alcohol preferences in female adolescent rats. A similar result of stimulation of kappa-opioid receptors suggests that they are involved in the observed effect.
