Mamedov M.N., Kovrigina M.N., Buzurtanov M.B.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics of the risk factors and comparative analysis of different methods of identify of cardiovascular risk factors in outpatient with diabetes mellitus (DM) type 1 and 2.

Methods. In cross-sectional clinical study included 244 persons with type 1 and type 2 mean age 46,4 yrs. All patients were interviewed using a questionnaire of WHO, they were measured blood pressure, heart rate, anthropometric data, including total fat mass with fat analyzer OMRON BF508. All patients were also measured venous and capillary blood glucose level, glycated hemoglobin (%), total cholesterol and triglycerides.

Results. The difference between the two measurement glucose methods (in venous and capillary blood) was 6,7 ± 0,6%. In patients with type 1 diabetes hypertension occurs 2.5 times in less compared with patients with type 2 diabetes. The difference between blood pressure measured by mechanical and automatic devices was less than 1%. The percentage of body fat, including visceral fat, both women and men with type 2 diabetes by age corresponds to the high deviation from the norm. Most men and women with type 1 and type 2 had hypercholesterolemia.

Conclusion. Traditional cardiovascular risk factors are identified, not only among individuals with type 2 diabetes, but among patients with type 1 diabetes.

Bledzhyants G.A., Bubnov V.A., Puzenko D.V., Cherepenin V.A.

Abstract

Objective: to determine the information content of electrical impedancemetry as a method of assessing myocardial protection during cardioplegic different versions.

The study included 54 patients operated on in the emergency department of valvular defects surgery at Bakulev's Medical Center. Depending on the method of myocardial protection patients were divided into 3 groups: Group 1 - patients whom Buckberg cardioplegia was used (n = 31), group 2 - patients underwent cardioplegia solution with Custodiol (n = 9), group 3 - patients who have a perioperative myocardial protection used hyperkalium solution (n = 14). All patients were studied bioelectrical impedance of the myocardium.

The results showed that the electrical impedancemetry can well assess the state of the myocardium during surgery.

Qualitative and biochemical parameters of ejaculate in patients with chronic prostatitis

Teryoshin A.T., Sosnovskij I.B., Ihaev A.B.

Abstract

According to a number of researchers [1,2,3], chronic prostatitis (CP) causes infertility in 28-37% of cases. Disorders of spermatogenesis in patients with CP can be the cause of male infertility and abnormalities in newborns [3, 4]. To predict the fertilizing ability of spermatozoa, an analysis of their morphological characteristics is carried out using the strict criteria of the norm proposed by T. Kruger et al. [5]. However, the morphological and biochemical characteristics of ejaculate in patients with CP have been insufficiently studied.

Purpose of the study. To study the morphological and biochemical parameters of ejaculate in patients with CP.

Materials and methods. 90 patients with CP were examined at the age from 22 to 45 years (on average 33.8 ± 1.4 years) with CP duration from 1 to 11 years (on average 4.7 ± 1.2 years), with duration of infertility from 2 to 5 years (average 3.8 ± 0.7 years).

Results and discussion. It was found that none of the patients was exposed to hyperthermia, industrial poisons, ionizing radiation, did not take narcotic and hormonal drugs, did not abuse nicotine and alcohol.
