On the surgical treatment of vesicovaginal fistulas complicated by the destruction of the urethra
Abstract
One of the most thankless tasks in the work of a gynecologist is the fight against such forms of violation of the integrity of the urinary bladder, which are complicated by the destruction of the entire urethra or most of it. There are often cases when even a completely successful plastic surgery in the area of the disturbed vesicovaginal septum does not bring relief to patients due to defects in the area of the urinary canal.

Abstract
1893 28 / XI, a 9-year-old girl was admitted to the Clinical Institute, 3. I. T., to cure total urinary incontinence, which she suffers, according to relatives, since birth. She had no other illnesses. In appearance, the patient is correctly developed and has an age-appropriate height. When examining the urogenital organs, the following deviation from the norm appears (see the attached figure): large lips are of normal size, but do not have a connection in their upper part.
