Dzhalilov D., Martov A., Abdullaev D.

Abstract

The results of endoscopic diagnostic and treatment method were assessed in patients with locally advanced prostate cancer (PC) who had undergone radical prostatectomy (RPE). The investigation enrolled 65 patients diagnosed with Stage T1-T3 PC; After RPE, they were diagnosed as having complications, such as urethral and urethral cystoanastomotic strictures, artifacts at the anastomotic site, and scarring deformity of the bladder neck. Optimal treatment policy was defined in this category of patients.

Abstract

A set of molecular genetic, immunohistochemical, and biochemical markers is used to diagnose recurrent gastric cancer. To identify the set of additional molecular genetic markers in the postoperative gastric stump mucosal biopsy specimens obtained during endoscopic examination expands information on the risk of a recurrence and process generalization. The paper describes molecular genetic markers that may be used in addition to morphological and biochemical studies for monitoring patients after surgical treatment.

Abstract

The paper considers the etiological pattern of acute enteric infections (AEI) and microbiological diagnostic problems. An ecological classification of AEIs with their differentiation into anthroponoses, zoonoses, and sapronoses is proposed. The specific features of the mechanism of fecal-oral pathogen transmission are noted.

Sergevnln V.

Abstract

A list of acute enteric infections (AEI) with the leading foodborne route of pathogen transmission is compiled. The major types of microbial contamination of foods are considered. The role of dairy and poultry products and salads is defined in the spread of AEI pathogens under present-day conditions.

THE ROLE OF ESTROGENS AND ESTROGEN RECEPTORS IN THE PATHOGENESIS OF COLORECTAL CANCER

Stanoevlch U., Stanoevlch I., Oksanchuk E., Kudrlna E.

Abstract

The recent study gives evidence that estrogens and estrogen receptors play an important role in colorectal cancerogenesis. The nuclear estrogen receptor ERß is predominantly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, including colonic epithelium. It plays an important role in the proliferation and differentiation of normal colonic mucosa. Expression of ERß is selectively lost in human malignant colon tissue, leading to disruption of differentiation, reduction of apoptosis, malignant transformation of the colonic mucosa, poor prognosis of disease.

Kokoreva S., Dotsenko A.

Abstract

Fifty-seven patients with clinical manifestations of acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI) were followed up. The clinical efficiency of combination therapy using the direct antiviral agent Arbidol depending the time of its use was analyzed. The results of the investigation suggest the high clinical and economic efficacy of Arbidol in treating ARVI. Its use is most effective in the early periods of the disease: there are reductions in the duration of preserved major symptoms, complication rates, and therapy costs.
