A string modular cultivator has been developed. It provides surface tillage at the depth of 0,02-0,03 m. Such tillage is necessary before sowing small-seeded crops such as beet, rapeseed, onion, carrot, tomato and so on. The cultivator can be used in cultivation of fallow lands because it ensures soil moisture preservation and prevents bringing of moist soil to the surface.

Abstract

The paper describes a mathematical model for wheeled vehicle with automatic transmission of «torque converter - coupling - gearbox» type. In order to compare this type of transmission and mechanical one with same number of gears and ratios, optimal characteristics of torque converter for considered vehicle are selected. The paper presents the results of simulation of wheeled vehicle moving for both variants of gearbox in conditions involving variable resistance and moving velocity assigned by driver. Efficiency of hydromechanical transmission use is estimated.

Experimental researches of a self-propelled potato harvester equipped with separation process control system

Abstract

The article describes the structure and operation principle of separation process control system for the КСК-4-1 self-propelled potato harvester. It presents the results of laboratory and field tests and farm ones, as well as the results of operational and technological evaluation of performance of the harvester with separation process control system and without it. As a result, it is found that installation of this system on potato harvester increases its productivity by 6-8%, improves the quality parameters of the process, reduces downtimes by decreasing the clogging and overload of working organs, betters the working conditions of operator.
