A METHOD FOR DETERMINING A SCINTILLATION INDEX IN THE PRESENCE OF ANISOTROPIC IRREGULARITIES IN THE PERTURBED IONOSPHERE

Abstract

A method for determining a scintillation index in the presence of anisotropic irregularities in the perturbed ionosphere has been developed. The method is based on reduction of quadratic form of arguments found in autocorrelation functions of electron density and phase fluctuations to scalar value and on relying on this information whilst performing Radon and Fourier transforms. Expressions used for scintillation index calculation, which help evaluating the impact of scintillations with high spectral index value including the whole range of possible values of first Fresnel zone radius to outer-scale dimension of the irregularities ratio have been derived using this method. The expressions obtained are defined for both Gaussian and power-like spectral density fluctuations with spectral index value ranging from 4 to 6 and are presented in a form convenient for calculations.

THE USING OF MAXWELL GARNETT AND BRUGGMAN MODELS TO DESCRIBE HETEROGENEITY OF A CHIRAL METAMATERIAL BASED ON GAMMADIONS

Abstract

This paper assesses the various generalized mathematical models of microwave chiral metamaterials based on various forms of material equations. The article concludes that it is necessary to describe a chiral metamaterial as a heterogeneous media, taking into account the dependence of the effective dielectric permittivity on the container permittivity and permittivity of a volumes with chiral inclusions. In this work, mathematical models of a chiral metamaterial are constructed based on the Maxwell Garnett and Bruggeman formulas, taking into account the properties of heterogeneity. As the investigated chiral metamaterial we chose a metastructure based on fine-wire curved gammadions with different numbers of loops. For this structure, the resonance frequencies of chiral inclusions in the form of multi-loop fine-wire curvilinear gammadions were determined. As an example, we solved the problem of reflection (transmission) of a plane electromagnetic wave with linear polarization from a planar layer of a chiral metamaterial based on a uniform matrix of multi-loop fine-wire curvilinear gammadions. In this work, the influence of the number of gammadion loops on the reflecting and transmitting properties of the chiral metamaterial is determined. The article analyzes the issues of using the Maxwell Garnett and Bruggeman formulas to take into account the heterogeneity of the chiral metamaterial and their influence on the results of calculating the reflection and transmission coefficients of the wave. It is proved in this work that a planar layer of a chiral metamaterial based on multi-loop fine-wire curvilinear gammadions allows concentrating the incident electromagnetic field in the plane of the metastructure.

MODIFIED MULTIPLY AND ACCUMULATE UNIT TO INCREASING OF DIGITAL FILTERS PERFORMANCE

Abstract

This paper proposes a modified architecture of the multiply and accumulate units and their application for increasing the performance of digital filters with a finite impulse response. The paper provides a theoretical analysis of the proposed modified multipliers and implements hardware simulation.The theoretical analysis has shown that replacing traditional multiply and accumulate units by modified ones as the basis for the implementation of digital filters can theoretically reduce the filtering time to 29 %. Hardware simulation has shown that modified multiply and accumulate units increase the performance of digital filters by up to 11 % compared to digital filters using traditional multiply and accumulate units by increasing hardware costs. The results of this research can be used in the theory of digital signal processing to solve practical problems, such as noise reduction, amplification and suppression of the frequency spectrum, interpolation, decimation, equalization, etc.

RESEARCH PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS OF VIRTUAL SWITCHES WITH OPENFLOW SUPPORT

Abstract

This article discusses the problems that arise with different ways of connecting network virtual switches and using the OpenFlow mode. A technique for automated research of performance parameters of virtual switches with OpenFlow support is proposed. In the course of the study, modes were identified in which significant packet losses and delays of more than 100 ms occur. It was found that at different parts of the packet’s route, using Open vSwitch in OpenFlow mode inside virtual machines is not optimal, while for virtualization systems, the connection via Open vSwitch is more preferable than Linux Bridge. Exceeding the load beyond the identified limits entails the need to optimize Open vSwitch and install a DPDK module for low-latency switching or change the load balancing on such nodes.

ANALYSIS OF THE CORRELATED QUEUE IN THE G/G/1 SYSTEM

Abstract

This article discusses correlated queues in which the packet service time is strongly correlated with the time between packets due to the finite throughput of the input and output channels. Approaches to assessing the parameters of the functioning of networks with correlated queues are considered. An analytical method for obtaining an estimate of the packet waiting time in the network based on the copula approach is presented. The correlation properties of real video traffic are investigated, the distribution laws for the time intervals between packets and the packet processing times are determined. The Weibull distribution gave the most accurate approximation. It has been determined that the time intervals between packets and the processing times of the packets have significant cross-correlation. Estimates are obtained for the average latency of a packet in the network and for the variation of the packet delay during transmission in the G/G/1 network.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF DATA HIDING METHODS IN DIGITAL IMAGES

Abstract

The Internet and wireless communications have created new opportunities for the mass exchange of multimedia information. This has created new challenges in terms of the security and storage of the information transmitted through global and local networks. This article is devoted to the study of steganography methods of safety, in particular, those based on LSB concealment, in the spatial area of digital images. The classification of steganography methods has given based on the works of the last 5 years. The most popular and widespread image steganography methods have been investigated, describing their merits and challenges. The most commonly used terminology was identified and various methods of data concealment are presented. The visual and statistical steganalysis methods for computing the statistical difference between the input image and the stegoimage is also considered. The article may be useful to researchers in developing new, more effective steganography methods of information hiding.

ON THE OPTIMAL MODIFICATION OF IMAGES PROJECTIONS ONTO BASIC VECTORS WITHIN THE INFORMATION HIDDEN EMBEDDING

Abstract

This work is devoted to the problem of developing methods for hidden control over the use and distribution of digital images based on the modification of the decomposition coefficients (projections) of images in various systems of basic vectors, determined with the use of two-dimensional transform. In this work, it was proposed to apply the evaluation of the distortion values of the projection on the subband matrices eigenvectors of given transform for estimating of the image-containers distortion within an information hidden embedding on the basis of the two-dimensional cosine transform subband analysis. The problem of searching for the optimal modified values of the projections is formulated and analytically solved from the position of minimizing the image-container distortion, which is set as the square of the Euclidean norm of the difference between the original and modified images. Computational experiments were performed to illustrate the advantages of the developed method of projection values optimal modification. It is shown that the application of the developed method allows to obtain smaller distortions of the analyzed image-containers in comparison with the known methods of hidden data embedding into images.

HOMOGRAPHY SUPERPOSITION OF TELEVISION SIGNALS BY RANSAC FOR COMMERCIAL MACHINE VISION

Abstract

The superposition of television signals is a topical issue that is considered in the computer vision systems when locating and recognizing objects, as well as to increase the image quality and decrease the volume of stored data. The article shows the algorithm of the homography superposition of television signals by RANSAC. The developed algorithm includes the following: interest point recognition, a point’s matching between input images by RANSAC and estimation of homography parameters. The optimal additional step is the superposition by the Lucas-Kanade method. This method allows us to estimate subpixel offset in the neighborhood area of interest point and decrease the error of superposition. The developed algorithm is intended to automate television signals superposition of computer vision systems, especially for the aviation equipment and security systems.

EXPERT SYSTEMS IN COMPUTER NETWORK: CREATION ISSUES DURING WEB DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This article looks at the issues of expert systems development in data-processing networks during web programming. The correlation of the processing, storage and transmission of information and web applications to the specificities and problematics of expert systems creation is observed. Under these circumstances, there are difficulties associated with network traffic, namely, with its workload, since there is a need for constant transfer of a large amount of information, which subsequently impedes the processes of contacting of clients with servers. In this case, the information can be subjected to threats of the integrity loss of the transmitted information, since there will be lack of required constant synchronization of data between client services and server services. In order to prevent and eliminate this problem the authors suggest to carefully choose a specific set of web-tools and applications. To achieve this, it is necessary to make a selection of and analyze programming languages and determine the language that corresponds to special requirements for creation of expert systems. Herewith, the new features of web applications for the client with daily developing information technologies should be taken into account.

INNOVATIVE WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF CERTIFICATION OF DVB-T2 TRANSMITTERS IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The pending issue in digital TV and radio broadcasting technology is the certification of DVB-T2 standard transmitters, which are in operation in 85 regions of Russia. One of the main requirements to network transmitters, which is necessary for certification, is the requirement of time-calibrated information signal delay in modulators of network transmitters. The lack of time delay calibration of information signal processing is the main reason for technical defect in digital broadcasting, caused by the synchronization failure in the network transmitters. The results of the main stages of theoretical research and practical experiments carried out by the author earlier, which allow to take them into account in the development of the project «Rules of application of terrestrial television transmitters» at the level of the Ministry of Communications of Russia, are considered. The Ministry was renamed in its abbreviated name by Government Resolution No. 1389 dated September 9, 2020, into the Ministry of digits of Russia. The proposed algorithm of television transmitters settings, the innovative method and the calibration device, implemented on programmable logic integrated circuits, allow for synchronous operation of networks at the dispersal of information signal delays not only in the modulators of transmitters, as well as in data transmission channels. Upgrading of transmitters according to the recommendations of the article consists in additional equipment of modulators with one universal component of domestic production and adjustment of single-frequency network according to the algorithm considered. High manufacturability of the proposed solution allows to certify DVB-T2 standard transmitters in the shortest possible time and to provide reliable, uninterrupted TV and radio broadcasting by upgrading transmitters in operation in 85 regions of Russia.

METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH TO COMPENSATION OF ATMOSPHERIC DISTORTION IN THE FORMATION OF IMAGES OBTAINED USING RADARS WITH SYNTHESIZED APERTURE OF A SPACE-BASED ANTENNA

Abstract

This article considers the influence of atmospheric disturbances on the values of the signal parameters of a radar with a synthesized aperture of a space-based antenna. Significant phase disturbances of the trajectory signal in earth remote sensing systems lead to a violation of its coherent structure and can lead to complete destruction of the radar image. One of the preferred ways to solve this problem is to improve the algorithms for generating the reference function. A new methodological approach to compensation of atmospheric disturbances in the formation of images is proposed, allowing to improve the quality of radar image synthesis it is characterized by a joint account of the influence of tropospheric and ionospheric disturbances at the stage of forming the reference function. The dependences of the distance measurement error on the location angle for different levels of solar activity are obtained and the results of estimating the level of atmospheric errors based on the considered approach are presented.

CHANNELS FOR DELIVERY OF SPECTRA SENSING RESULTS ON DUAL-STAGE COGNITIVE RADIO NETWORKS

Abstract

Spectrum sensing is the most important function for cognitive radio networks. Since the probabilities of detecting primary users by secondary users can deteriorate under the influence of noise, interference, Rayleigh fading, it is necessary to choose the most suitable network architecture to improve the characteristics in both the delivery channels and in the sounding channels. This article discusses the task of sensing a licensed frequency band in order to detect the primary user of a cognitive radio network with a two-tier network architecture, on the first, lowest tier, secondary users are concentrated in separate small parts of the network coverage area (clusters) located at considerable distances from the center of the fusion of local sounding results individual secondary users. These local results are relayed by the base stations of the clusters to the merger center.

Abstract

The article presents the new scientific results of modern distributed computing Hadoop/MapReduce and parallel network paths technologies applicability in advanced integrated management systems. An integrated management system is a management system that has built-in software interfaces for interactionwiththeautomatedcommunicationsystemthatprovidesit.Adistinctivefeatureofintegrated management systems is the joint use of a common universal hardware and software platform, which is dynamically reconfigured to achieve the requirements of a particular system. Reconfiguration of the platform should provide high indicators of functional stability and efficiency of solving client requests; for this purpose, the existing large data processing technologies are analyzed and a option of their modification is proposed, taking into account the potential of parallel network paths. Practical implementation of the presented conceptual provisions will significantly reduce the information load on the network infrastructure and improve the efficiency of the management system.

EFFECTIVE SUPPORT FOR DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES WHEN REQUIREMENTS CHANGE IN PRODUCTION FACILITIES

Abstract

Modern manufacturing enterprises operate on the basis of complex digital systems. The infrastructure of these systems consists of computer nodes. Computer nodes can work efficiently or inefficiently. The efficiency of computer nodes is reflected in the operation of the infrastructure and in the production enterprise itself. Therefore, it is necessary to manage computer nodes. Management of computer nodes based on modeling of queuing systems and nonparametric statistics is considered. The structures of tools for performing the adjustment of parameters of computer infrastructure nodes are proposed. The resulting tool structures can be used as the basis for making adjustments to the parameters of the infrastructure’s computer nodes. This adjustment with the participation of the decision maker will be made taking into account the modeling of queuing systems and the application of nonparametric statistics to the results. The adjustment of parameters will ensure effective support for digital technologies when requirements change at production facilities.

SIMULATION OF THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

Abstract

The article analyzes the “Production” business process of a woodworking plant to build a simulation model based on it. This direction of the enterprise requires analysis in order to predict the lead time of production, increase the output per unit of time, as well as increase the equipment usage value. For each process, random variables are allocated. A simulation model was built in the AnyLogic modeling environment using the Enterprise Library. An optimization experiment with a developed enterprise model made it possible to study the behavior of the model under given conditions. On the basis of the conducted simulation, the “weak” points of the enterprise were identified, due to which the lead time increases and the number of products decreases. It is conclusion, it is advisable to introduce quality control of products at the exit of each production phase (peeling and drying, pressing, processing), which will reduce the percentage of low-quality products at the exit of the process.

Abstract

The article concerns the appearance of IT neologisms in English. The enrichment of language happens mainly through addition of new words, meanings, expressions and idioms. The development of vocabulary is directly proportional to the process of neologization. The authors provide a typology of neologisms in the IT industry. Given examples of computer technology neologisms have the main nominative function, as well as the stylistic one. In the course of this research the authors note the emerging trend of idiomatization of neologisms-terms due to the dynamic development of science. The analysis of computer technology neologisms and IT term-neologisms makes it possible to conclude that the lexical structure of modern English is updating regularly, thereby reflecting new trends in the word-formation system.
