Electrotherapy for peri-parametritis

Kupidonova V.

Abstract

Inflammatory forms of the pelvic part of the peritoneum covering the uterus and its appendages (perimetritis) are clearly associated with the same forms of abdominal connective tissue (parametritis).
Their symptoms and the usual treatment in most cases are similar to each other, so I combine these two pathological forms together, when reviewing them with electricity.

Seven laparotomies

Potenko V.V.

Abstract

".... the description of even individual cases of this kind (gluttony) .... is of enormous scientific and practical interest."
("Two wombs", composition, Dr. V. N. Orlov, preface by Prof. A. I. Lebedev, 1893).
At present, laparotomy is often given in clinics and in some large hospitals (for example, there are reports of 200 cases, submitted by Prof. A. I. Lebedev), and about 300 - submitted by prof. G.E. Rein) that the description of seven cases proposed by me may seem completely uninteresting and not important; indeed, the number is not large, but it must be taken into account that these chavos were sent to a small out-of-town regional hospital, in an environment that is completely ordinary for our out-of-town hospitals, inherited from the Order of our Public Service: with labor, even a so-called intelligent person (not to mention a simple peasant woman) decides on any kind of operation, especially one in which it is necessary to open the abdominal cavity - this can be witnessed by any regional doctor!

Chernomordik-Ginzburg M.

Abstract

Dr. Piotrovich's trial prompts me to report the following case from my practice:
On May 13, 1889, I was invited to the Dudu K-shianz, the wife of a small greenery merchant. The patient complained of severe abdominal pains, mainly at the bottom, bleeding, vomiting, headache and weakness. Anamnesis of the following: married 5 years, has 3 children, last one 1 year 3 months. Always healthy, she fell ill only 3 days ago with bleeding after she fell down the stairs. Regulations always come correctly, after a month, last 5 days, are not abundant and not painful; while breastfeeding all children she was menstruating all the time: the last regulations ended a week ago. Before me, another doctor was invited, who was told the same anamnesis as me, but since the patient refused to be examined by a man, he prescribed her hydrastis canadensis for now, in view of significant bleeding, and did not visit her again.

On the question of the research of women in labor per rectum

Beckman V.G.

Abstract

In gynecology, asepsis is considered almost unanimously to be a method that gives the best results, and in obstetrics, antiseptic delivery is still very common. The doctrine of self-infection of women in childbirth contributes not little to this due to the immigration of pathogenic microbes from the sleeve into the uterine cavity or into other wounds of the genital canal that occurred during the labor act. Vaginal disinfectant douching is considered a necessary part on the basis of personal practical observations (Ahlfeld), partly on the basis of the results of bacteriological work proving the presence of pathogenic microbes in the sleeve (Winter), Steffeck), Döderlein), Williams), Masters).
