Psychological, clinical and physiological correlates of aging in women

Krut’ko V.N., Smirnova T.M., Silyutina M.V., Taranina O.N.

Abstract

We studied the speed of age changes of psychological, clinical and physiological markers of biological age in women aged 55 to 87 years. Significant correlation with age was revealed only for self-evaluation of physical well-being, but not for the subjective assessments of activity, mood, anxiety and depression. Objective parameters of sensor systems, morbidity and performance showed marked deteriorating with age. Comparison with the results of similar studies showed that the intensity of the correlation ties with age was lower for the group investigated than that for women of lower mean age. The cause of these differences is probably the loss of consistency of the functional systems of organism while aging. The identified parameters of age dynamics of investigated markers can be used to optimize anti-aging, rehabilitation and therapeutic measures based on a comparison of individual psychological, clinical and physiological parameters with group dynamics of aging.

Monitoring of tissue cheek and cheekbone lipofilling after rehabilitation

Grischenko S.V., Nadtochy A.G., Malitskaya O.A.

Abstract

The assessment of dynamics of facial soft tissues thickness (58 cases) and morphological researches of a fatty autograft before and after a fat grafting (13 cases) at patients with the congenital and acquired contour facial deformations for the purpose of postoperative result forecasting and determination of recovery treatment terms were carried out. Direct dependence of "the additional thickness" retension and recipient zone thickness is established, so in 3-4 months in cheek area 60-65% of "the additional thickness " remain, and in malar area of only 25-27%, further the given indicators remain stable. There is a changing of tissue thickness during 3-4 months, so after that term postoperative results estimation and making the decision about recurrent operation is possible. According to the morphological researches, the additional thickness of tissues consists of: adipocytes, adipocytes in a condition of a nerobiosis, and also vascularized cicatricial connecting tissue. Because of that recipient area after a fat grafting can be palpatory more dense or have rough contours. Therefore at "plus tissue" postoperative deformations all physiotherapeutic methods (in the individual mode) which are applied to treatment of pathological scars are effective.

Abstract

Prevention of cancer - one of the most important tasks of AntiAge-medicine. Oncological diseases included among the ten leading causes of death of the population. Malignant tumors of the skin (non-melanoma and melanoma tumors) are the most common type of cancer, and more than 50% of the total number of neoplastic diseases. According to the WHO, one third of all cancer cases are preventable. Prevention offers effective long-term strategy to fight cancer: Tobacco Free, regular physical activity and maintaining a healthy body weight; overcoming alcohol addiction; vaccination and other measures of prevention of infectious and parasitic diseases; environmental protection; occupational Safety and Health; protection against radiation; photoprotection. Prophylaxis of skin cancer clinic active longevity includes public and personalized program. A powerful community project prevention of cancer of the skin became day diagnosis of melanoma. In Russia, the first day of diagnosis of melanoma was conducted in 2007. The most important achievement was the dermoscopy introduction into clinical practice. Personalized cancer prevention program at the clinic active longevity include the identification of predictors of tumor growth and prevention. Oncoscreening program consists of three phases. The first stage - the definition of a gene predisposing to cancer. The second step - the specific diagnosis of genetic mutations underlying tumor growth. The third stage - the monitoring of molecular and cytogenetic markers. Evaluation of cytogenetic status on the basis of micronuclei in human buccal epithelium - a modern method of diagnosis for individual human health and its monitoring. Changes diagnosed with this method, reflect the state of instability in the human genome that can be linked to the opening and / or development of cancer process..

Bezuglyi A.P.

Abstract

Skin diagnosis is important for the ermatology and cosmetology practice. The aim of this study was to evaluate the ultrasound characteristics and quantitative determination of dimensions, boundaries, and acoustic density of skin tumors. Under our supervision there were 32 patients with benign and malignant skin tumors. High-frequency ultrasound 22 MHz and 75 MHz with a resolution of 72 and 21 μιτι was used in this study. We determined the size, depth distribution, and acoustic density of the tumor at all patient. All tumors were hypoechoic compared with the surrounding tissues. In most cases, with high probability were able to determine the source of primary tumor growth, thanks to the high resolution ultrasonography. For the first time in Russia used a combination of videodermatoscopy and high-frequency sonography in monitoring the skin of patients with basal cell carcinoma. High-frequency ultrasound study with high precision allows to determine the size and depth and boarders of the tumors, which is important for the treatment choice, and evaluation of treatment results, and also to prevent a recurrence of tumors.

Intestinal microbiota as a source of novel biomarkers of ageing

Bezrodny S.L., Shenderov B.A.

Abstract

It is now generally accepted that more than 40% of low molecular weight blood chemical compounds have microbial origin. We applied gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GSMS) of blood as a microbial identification system based on determination of fatty acids, aldehydes, alcohols, sterines-metabolic markers of cell wall of certain microbial genera and species. GSMS was used for identification of the mentioned blood lipid substances and corresponding intestinal parietal microorganisms in 41 subjects in the age of 45-59 (17) and 75-90 years old (24 persons). This article focuses on the content of twenty five taxonomically identified bacterial, fungi, and viruses as markers of microecological profile in human intestinal tract. The low number of bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, propionobacteria as well as decreased quantity of endotoxin, and plasmalogen and increased proportion of E.lentum, N. asteroids, Herpes viruses was the most prominent aged-type microbiota markers of the ageing dynamic process. In this work we have confirmed that GSMS of blood might be a powerful technique in studying the diverse and complex intestinal parietal microbiota and for assessment of microecological profile in the intestinal tract of adult and elderly people.

Abstract

It was followed by an open non-randomized clinical trial of the safety and efficacy as an anti-aging drug biologically active food supplement «Selerdzhen» in a group of clinically healthy volunteers of both sexes (age variation in a group of 41 people was 33-72 years). As a secondary performance indicator, measured biochemical parameters of the redox status and collagen production. The protocol of the clinical trial was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Institute and all study participants gave written informed consent. Participants were recruited on the basis of the criteria included in the test and exclude from the trial. They were asked to take 2 capsules of the drug «Selerdzhen» a day for two months. During the test period, all participants did not have to take any other dietary supplements or vitamins. Admission BAA objectively assess the level of coenzyme Ku10 levels as «Selerdzhen» contains the active ingredient as a coenzyme. Safety of the drug was evaluated subjectively, taking into account the opinion of the attending physician and member of the test. Clinical (aesthetic anti-aging effect) was evaluated by digital photographs taken at the beginning and end of the test, as well as questionnaires completed by the physician and the patient. Instrumental methods for assessing anti-aging effect on the skin include functional parameters of physiology of the skin, such as elasticity, greasiness and moisturized. It was held a specialized ultrasound analysis of skin layers, which are determined by the thickness and order of collagen fibers in the epidermis and dermis. Based on the results estimated biological age of skin before and after the study. Laboratory biochemical analyzes included: determining the level of hydroxyproline levels as a measure of collagen synthesis; nitrite and nitrate in plasma; activity of the main antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione-S-transferase; the level of reduced glutathione in red blood cells; the content of malondialdehyde in plasma; urovet ATP in erythrocytes. All data were statistically analyzed using a suitable method of analysis. Results of statistical treatment showed that «Selerdzhen» has a certain anti-aging effect on the skin, reducing its biological age, has energizing effect, increasing the ATP stores, changing the redox potential by shifting it to the side corresponding to a younger age.

Abstract

Complex treatment with application of the extracorporal shock wave therapy (ESWT) of 58 patients with a vibration illness from various degree of expressiveness is carried out. The comparative group was made by the persons which are on medicinal therapy without use of ESWT. The main clinical manifestation of an illness was the pain syndrome of the top extremities of moderate degree of expressiveness against a vegeto-touch polyneuropathy. The assessment of results of treatment revealed earlier and permanent regress of pains in comparison with traditional treatment. Regress of pain syndrome is connected with the normalizing influence of ESWT on a condition of peroxide oxidation of lipids and level of pro-inflammatory суtokine, in particular, a tumor necrosis factor α.

Glazkova O.L., Shmeleva S.V., Fadeev I.E., Poletova T.N., Nazarova S.V.

Abstract

The consequences of hysterectomy for a woman - one of the most discussed problems of modern gynecology. The aim of our study was to identify differences in the general health and feeding behavior of patients with severe manifestation or progression of obesity without such after undergoing a hysterectomy with preservation of ovaries. The study included 34 women 5 years after a hysterectomy without appendages or fallopian tubes. At the time of the study age was 46,4 ± 3,2 years. The study group included 22 women who reported an increase in the period of time after the surgery the body weight of 10-25 kg (14 ± 3,2). The control group consisted of 12 women whose weight for the period was stable or increased by no more than 3 kg. The study included a survey, the general clinical examination, testing the questionnaire assessment of eating behavior (Dutch eating behavior questionnaire (DEBQ) 1986). Also perform electroencephalography. Symptoms that are highly likely to indicate a hypothalamic dysfunction (stretch marks on the skin during puberty, periods of neurogenic hyperthermia, hyperhidrosis, headaches, primary giperdipsiya, various sleep disorders, autonomic crises, mood disorders, severe heat intolerance and meteozavisimost) 1-3 symptoms observed in all of the main group, while in the control group - only two women. In the study group 31,8% of the surveyed believed that ever in my life have been different duration periods of mental depression in the control group of women was not. On a scale of externalities eating behavior index of the main group was 3,5 ± 1,4, the control 1,4 ± 0,5 (the statutory rate -no higher than 2,68). On a scale of emotion-eating behavior, the rate at which normally should not be higher than 2,03, it was 4,03 ± 1,6 in the main group and 2,9 ± 0,7 - in control. When the EEG in the study group, 16 women (72%) had moderate or severe disorganization of background activity. In the control group, the changes in the EEG, lets talk about the probable dysfunction diencephalic brain structures observed in all 3 people. Based on the data, it can be assumed that the performance of a hysterectomy is not so much the cause as a trigger the development or progression of obesity in the presence of prerequisites (dysfunction diencephalic brain structures), eating disorders, addiction to depression).

Kotenko K.V., Korchazhkina N.B., Markosyan T.G., Shchukin A.I., Nikitin S.S., Bodrov A.V.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the examination, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with long-lasting and often recurrent abacterial prostatitis. On the basis of their own material with the use of needle myography in 20 healthy volunteers developed regulatory framework indicators pelvic myography. When the crotch electromyography 176 patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis, marked increase in the average duration and amplitude reduction potentials of muscle units (MUP), miltifasial MUP surpassing 15%, much higher than the standard ratios and is a sign of hidden muscle reinnervation, revealed fibrillation potentials and positive sharp waves (PF, PSW), indicating the presence of hidden denervation disorders of the pelvic floor. In the study results transcranial magnetic stimulation revealed an increase in the cortical and segmental evoked motor response the latency (10% and 14.3%, respectively), central motor conduction time (CMCT) - lengthened by 20%. In 25% of cases showed inhibition of sacral reflexes, which is evidence of the presence of neurogenic component of the disease. In the study of vegetative status of patients by cardiointervalography assessment of core indicators for Baevsky, in 91.7% of cases marked hypersympathicotonia. In the medical-psychological testing of patients using the test in all patients revealed significant psycho-emotional disorders, manifested in the significant decrease of all studied parameters - "health", "activity" and "mood", indicating a reduction in the functional reserves of mental health. The high therapeutic efficacy of the combined magnetic stimulation confirmed in control of neurophysiological research. In 85.4% of all patients the therapeutic effect maintained for 1 year after complex treatment, which was significantly more important than the application of the local magnetic stimulation and especially isolated drug therapy.
