Abstract

The possibilities and advantages of 3M™ Molecular Detection System for molecular detection of pathogens are discussed. The system is designed for the rapid identification of key pathogens - Salmonella, Listeria, E.coli O157 in food and raw products. The system is a unique combination of an isothermal amplification of DNA and bioluminescent detection of amplification products. The results of the molecular method are ready in 20-28 hours that is by 48-72 hours faster than the conventional bacteriological method. The system is certified by international organizations AFNOR, AOAC and widely used in the world.
