Resumo

The article is devoted to the analysis of the new standard STB 1859 «Kefir for children. TC». Reasons for introduction of the standard are grounded. Comparing
characteristics of the product, requirements to the composition as well as to the quality of raw materials including requirements to safety indices are given.
